who is cooler/smarter? Raito or "L"

I think it's obvious from the manga that Raito is the obvious choice. He beat L. And it was not L that triggered the death alarm, but W.(The old guy people) And he has been controlling the world for 3/4 years?

L is smarter in my opinion... the only reason he died is because raito had some help... L can do lots of things to make someone expose themselves where raito can only kill...

Raito won (obviously) however i like L for some reason. He's got connections, resources and the brains to dominate.

I would think raito is better because he outsmart L with his brain...
but I think I have to give more credit to the character L, he is just cool and so composed.

Raito's smarter. He knew how L thinks completely. Just remember when he gave up the death note and forgot everything. He has planned so far ahead and even predicted that he and L would touch the DN at the same time
