Gambit could be practically invincible with his explosion powers. The only thing he can't explode is humans or living things. He can even turn his spit into an explosive. Amazing stick handing powers as well.

Batman, almost the perfect physical human. Nothing supernatural about him, at least compared to other superheroes. All his abilities can be acheived throught dedication and hard work., But having money all that time doesn't hurt either.

Difficult choice...but if we're just counting comics id go for batman...or spidey...those are my all time faves...though ive developed a liking to nightwing lately...its really hard to pick...id say i have a number of favorites wich include:
batman, spiderman, nightwing, nightcrawler, green lantern hal jordan, Blink...not good...ive had a lot of favorites...
hmmmm...id say those are the ones i cherish the most...batman and spidey on the lead of course...
edit: sorry guys, but as a former fan of comic i feel my duty to correct you in your way...dammit! this is gonna be another one of my long posts...and i managed to make it small!!

No one has killed the joker...the joker is still alive and well...azrael did take bruces place for some time and he did fight the joker, but he didnt kill him, thats cause bruce was indeed incapacitated, and azrael never had a robin, he didnt care about a robin, in fact he even forbid him to enter the cave while he was batman; at the time Robin was the third kid to wear the costume, the second one was killed by the joker though, in another story, nothing to do with azrael, so the joker did kill a robin, but azrael never knew, and even if he did, he couldnt care less, the third robin is still alive(and will probably remain alive), on an additional note, and just to show i was a huge fan of batman, there was a robin who was a girl, only for a couple of weeks or so, she ended up dying too though, not that thats important(not that any of this is important...), additional info...

not really. batman beyond does not exist in the comic continuity, its not an absolute, it could happen but theres no reference yet as to what will be the future of the bat, batman beyond MAY be a possibility to what may happen, but thats yet to happen, rite now batman beyond is just a cartoon showing a future where all those things happened. the story you mention, for the same reason, is not on the comic either(maybe theres an adaptation, like the ones from the tv series, but those are non-cannon)

The best superhero does not lie in the world of DC or marvel, but in the realm of Shiny entertainment. The has never been, nor will there ever be, a superhero as splendiferously psychofunkodiscodelic as Earthworm Jim. I mean come on, he has a handy-dandy-pocket Rocket!
