Seems Cowboy Bebop is a favorite of most people--and for good reason. Excellent animation and music (as always with Bebop) and of course Steven Blum is an amazing voice actor.
End of Evangelion is very high on my list of good OAVs, though a lot of people hate both endings to Eva. Or just hate Eva in general. //pity
Princess Mononoke is great. Seems that it's a lot darker than the rest of Ghibli's movies, which is a nice escape from the child-like setting and story of, say, Spirited Away.
Both "Voices of a Distant Star" and "The Place Promised in Our Early Days" are absolutely fantastic, though the former's animation was on the horrible side. The latter, however, is surely the best OAV I've seen this year.
I've only seen Trust and Betrayal of the Samura X series, and, up until I saw Elfen Lied and Gantz, was the bloodiest anime I had ever seen. Still a great movie with deep human feelings involved.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is cool. Gives ye a look into the dilemma's a vampire might run into, and also a look at how living forever would totally suck =3
I haven't seen this OAV mentioned very much, but Twilight of the Dark Master is pretty good for being as short as it is. Good way to spend 45-ish minutes on a rainy day, at least.
