1) The Ghost in the Shell movies(there are 2) because they offer a really neat perspective of things, the action scenes are always gorgeous, and the animation rocks.(anything from Mamoru Oshii)
2) anything from Studio Ghibli
3) the Inuyasha movies because they are entertaining and will give you a good laugh.
4) the Korean anime movie Wonderful days because the animation is WAY above anything you could imagine
5)Vampire Hunter D:Bloodlust, Samurai X, Akira, and although it really isn't a movie(its an OVA) I would also recommend Blue Submarine#6. _________________ [img:400:224:9a48d672c1]http://comalies.free.fr/images/ergoproxy.jpg[/img:9a48d672c1]
Which is worse? The madness of following Tao, or the madness of an existence without awareness?

I'm surprised how diverse of a fanbase is at this site, you have some people who really know what theyre talkin about and others who are still in love with shounen anime.
Anyway.. Best anime movies
Castle of Cagliostro: its a Lupin movie, its from the 70's, but damn is it fun to watch. It still looks amazing especially considering its age. Even Stephen Speilburg considers this one of his favorites, if thats not reason enough to watch this movie I dunno wat is.
Grave of the Fireflies: The saddest movie I have ever seen, and one of the best movies, anime or otherwise, ever. Its a Ghible movie so everything is top notch. Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
Perfect Blue: This movie isn't for everyone, its a phsychological thriller , the only anime i can think of in this genre. And boy oh boy is it good, it could have easily been a live action movie, but being an animated films adds to the creepiness. Its about a pop idol who is being stalked by someone who is posting her thoughts on a message board, the movie slips in an out of reality. Watch it if you're patient enough for the pay off at the end. Warning there is some graphic violence in nudity (i'm sure thats gonna get some ppl to see this)
i'll post more wen i can think of em |
