I'm going to say the same thing I've always said when asked this question. My Guts tell me to stick with Nintendo. I mean, Nintendo has always had a firm grasp on the Handlheld market for good reasons.
I vote DS in the winter of 2004. |

I'm going with the DS. Simple as that. You should see the final design, they've released the pic. It's very sleek, and overtook the "sexy" PSP look. The features sound so good, and I'm doubting it'll cost a lot.
The PSP, however, is still as good. It doesn't play mp3 anymore(Sony confirmed it, I think), but luckily, the UMD disks support playing movies, that's good. The large screen and awesome graphics are also some of its advantages.
However, the DS looks simply too good for me, I'm going with it. Oh yeah before I end this post, some nice info for you guys.
Release Dates:
DS: Before November 11(One of its games have been announced to be released on November 11, so the DS have to be released earlier)
PSP: First Quarter of 2005 |

this thread was long gone but recently i saw x-play a tech tv video game show at e3 (i know i am slow), but i really got interested in psp, since i don't have much time playing video games on my xbox i am really considering buying the psp more than the nintendo ds to get back in video games, i thought it was big but it looks more promising than the ds plus the exclusive titles that will be avaliable for it make it worth the wait (saw them on the show, not games, but pics of the games that will be avaliable) _________________ [img:387:120:36cb7a5440]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v98/idjota/BL.jpg[/img:36cb7a5440] |

| DS, the PSP just doesn't have anything that interests me. I buy Handeld game consoles to play games, not to play MP3, DVD, etc. It just makes the system cost more and waste battery life, IMO... |

DS first and then PSP, coz I'm really a huge fan of Nintendo handheld. I'm also a fan of Sony, but not really confident about it. Well, gotta buy DS first and then wait for reviews for PSP. If it is very good, then maybe I'll grab it also. _________________

IF u have the $$$ get both.
If not... wait and see which games appeal to u and then go from there =D
Im leaving more towards the psp cuz the overall package looks more worthwhile. The screen is to die for (from wat i saw in the pics on Liksang.com). DS....its going to have top rate 1st party games....but...errr.. the design is so ugly. I wish they made the screen bigger.
But if they release a ton of new mario and zelda games...then i'll take back all the bad things i just said. |

According to differnt producers, games such as DOA, Tekken, Castlevania, and Final Fantasy are going to DS.
The only reason i want it is cuz of Harvest Moon. (teh greatest game on the planet) |

DOA on DS. that's gonna be interesting.
I'll prolly get DS cause it's coming out sooner and as of right now, cheaper. but it's probably smarter to wait and see if the games that come out for the system they want are actually worth getting ^^; |

Well i have had a DS for quite some time now ... and i would have to say that it is actually really cool
and the thing w/ the PSP is that it has lots of features that the DS does not ... but they are features that i would, personally, never use anyway ...
and the battery life ... which i am sure someone has brought up but i didn't bother reading every post ... can be limitted to only a couple of hours depending on what you are doing that is a little TOO short imo |

| It's DS all the way for me. The PSP's game lineup looks to be a lot of PS2 ports and if I wanted to watch movies on the road I would just buy a portable DVD player. I've already gone through the DS's bad points in another thread. |
