DS all the way. The actual PSP has much more to offer, but the truth is, both are meant for gaming, and overall, I would say the DS better games. But then again, who knows, the PSP might obtain several awesome games this year.
PSPhas more to offer? HA! The only good game is Loco Roco, all the rest are ports *coughGTAbattlefieldsocomcough* and all the rest suck totally.
Anyway, the Internet browser on the DS works a lot better than the PSP's internet. And you can play movies and music easier on the DS than on the PSP. Not to mention the it's damn near impossible to run proper homebrew on the PSP, I have one I know.
And the DS has Halo Mobil, commomnly known as Metroid Prime Hunter. _________________ Official winner of the A-S Worst Thread Ever Award

Well I still love my PSP, but I will admit that the game selection is not the greatest. But as I have come to learn, there is a reason whey its mostly called a portable emulator. There is a lot to do when you modify and downgrade your PSP so that you can run Super Nintendo, Genesis, Gameboy Advance and Gameboy, and even PS and N64 ISOs on your PSP. I would much rather have 70+games on my PSP at all times than have a DS. And besides, even if you dont downgrade your PSP and mod it, I would still use my PSP for portable anime and music on the go. ^_^
So yes the PSP does have MUCH more to offer than a DS. _________________ Miku Miku!!

For me, PSP is more of a multimedia player than a portable game console although now, I have both PSP and DS for my gaming on-the-go.
PSP has tons of good games if you like to look around. The only problem is that the game is basically like a normal game where you have a controller and control the people around in the game. But another good thing for PSP is the peripherals that you can purchase. I just bought a 1.3 megapixel camera attachment for my PSP and I love the moderate quality of the photos and videos.
In DS, I bought it due to the uniqueness of the games by use of stylus, mikes and even the sleep mode of the game. There are lots of potential unique games that will utilise these and frankly, I saw a lot of those.
In the end, for me, I enjoy both of my portables. One for my high-quality picture games, taking photos, listening music, while the others for unique games with lots of shouting (OBJECTION!! How I love to shout that when playing Ace Wright xD) and poking around one mystery hotel (Hotel Dusk, anyone?). _________________ Innocent Tranquility

DS for me, games and console are affordable and interesting & innovative software that you can't find anywhere else.
The PSP was a great idea on paper and had bags of potential. But a combination of a high price tag, short battery life and uninspired software has condemned this nice gadget to dwell in the shadow of Nintendo's established handheld.

i have spent over the 2 years since receiving my psp enjoying its capabilities. I can understand that without knowledge as to how to modify it, hack it, run homebrew and other extra things that it wouldnt be as much fun though.
Fullspeed PSX, SNES and GBA emulation have complemented my PSP very nicely, so i suggest you buy one. NOW!!!
My DS sits on my shelf collecting dust with my MPH, AC:WW, MK, etc.

funny, I always had heard the opposite. In fact to quote Shonen Jump, the only reason to quote "brush the dust off that psp in your closet" is to play loco roco, which is now being being adapted for the DS by homebrewers. Mabey that's because Nintendo actually released a dev kit for the DS, not like the Nazi bastards at Sony.

I'm sorry, but where did you get the idea that you can't emulate gams on the DS. You can Emulate snes, nes, genesis, turbografix and lots of other consoles. It a little over a hundred dollars for a 4 GB memory card for the ds. Not one of those shitty carts that sticks out, I mean one that fits neatly into the ds card slot.
You can watch movies, emulate games, listin to music, browse the web and lots of other crap. _________________ Official winner of the A-S Worst Thread Ever Award
