Didn't sound like it though... anyway, whether you like it or not, violence is sometimes the quickest way to peace, and when it comes to exterminating all criminals, sometimes the only way to peace.
I mean, come on, with the amount of corruption, as well as the number of criminals these days, there isn't much of a way for crime to recede into nothingness. |
In our world, the countries with 'Death Penalty' usually have lower crime rates. Raito is basicly speeding up Death Penalties without restrictions. |

| I think he was doingthe right thing by killing criminals, but not the fbi agents..., but they were thrying to kill his plan... so i can understand why he had to. I would do the same thing if i had the death note. I would not regurally have the idea to do that, but i think i wouldve gotten the idea after a while. I think anyone wouldve. But i think his plan sounds good. He just has so many obstacles... |

| I think raito's plan isnt bad. What bothers me is that he couldve avoided all these troubles if he just killed of every criminal with randomly chosen ways to die, instead of making himself known but using only heart attacks. |

Why do you hate him? He's getting rid of the bad people in his world. |

| Raito's doing the right thing, but he just isn't doing it the right way. I don't think that he should be using Misa the way he is. It's kinda inhuman. Maybe if there were no one like L, Near, and Mello to stop Raito, then he'd be able to avoid killing and using innocent people. |

| I think Raito is doing the right thing by easing all crime, by trying to help create a perfect world. |

| Its either way if you think about it. Killing criminals may shape up the world but also frighten the people who haven't caused any crime. You can say that the criminals may also be innocent sometimes because they were framed in some way. It is a better world without any bullies or thugs on the street. This may help you someday. I guess the answer is either... |

You could say, Kira is an authoritarian dictator but, he's not trying to control every aspect of life, or even most.
Just crime, a noble dream, but the only way he'll attain it is murder, en-masse. Genocide, if you would, and the group being extinguished is criminals.
So you could call Kira a dictator, but more rightly, I think it's Aristocrasy.
The smartest of a group leads. Raito has proven himself as atleast, one of the world's smartest, matching wits with genius minds nurtured from birth.
</spoiler>
He's outwitted L, is on the verge of crushing Mello, and has kept Near completely in the dark.
</spoiler>
Rooting out and killing the wicked are merely actions done "Pro bono publico" ~ for the common good ~
Free enterprice and human choice hasn't been impeded, the only people who disagree with Kira, are those afraid of him.
A death penalty sounds harsh, maybe even is harsh, but is alot more discouraging then anything else. _________________

| His initial intention was a good idea, as long as his conscience allowed him to murder anyone, criminal or not. In the real world it would do immense good....emptying overcrowded prisons, making sure criminals were not released to commit crimes again. But firstly, he didn't take into consideration that people change...and secondly...he had too much power....which corrupts. Power corrupts, and absolutely power corrupts absolutely, he was so bent out of shape over changing the world for the better he flew off the handle at the thought of being stopped from doing what he percieved was right. In the process he strayed off the path of something noble and ran right down the road into something evil. It became more of a thrill and a contest... |

| I think Ratio is doing the wrong thing. The punishment should fit the crimes, and in the small case that the criminal is completely innocent and was just in the wrong place at the wrong time shows a lack of justice on Ratio's part. |
