If light doing the right think is unclear question I think some people should die but he maybe obsebsed with power just a little bit. But he is under pressur by L so I think he might not be thinking things through. (I have not finish DEATH NOTE yet)

True he save people's lives but him playing God isn't something any human would accept no matter what because humans like to be incontrol of their own lives.

i'm cool with it just as long as he doesn't kill innocents (l was a nessesary exception). otherwise he's the frickin man. he's killing rapist and murderes out there! who needs them. oh and hasn't crime gone down significantly since kira came to town?......nuff said

i dont think raito is doing the right thing for humanity. he's making the perfect utopia at the expense at others lives and doing it with something not of this world...

I can certainly see where Light is coming from, and I even agree with alot of his reasonings, but I think that maybe Light has started to lose a bit of his sanity, and I am personally on the side of L in this battle.

What I think is a so-so. Raito is doing the right thing for people who are against bullying, torturing and other horrid things. From L's or Near's perspective they want the criminals to pay for their crime, in other words punishment.

initially, his actions were for the sake of humanity. but as time progressed, the power corrupted him, and caused his actions to become selfish. when at first, he was killing criminals to protect the innocent, now he is killing people to protect his identity. inadvertently, that makes him no different from a criminal.

some people may say that he is only trying to protect himself, because he can make the world a better place. but how good of a place is it, if everyone is afraid of you. what difference is there between raito and ruthless dictators? many dictators, initally have this great plan in mind, and in the end, it becomes a quest of ensuring everything goes the way they want instead of the way that is truly the best for the people.

I think that Raito is not doing a right thing. The reason why i said so is because all the crimes seem to decrease only because the criminals' fear of him, how if one day he stops punishing the criminal, then they will all kill like hell because finally they got their freedom, and also murder is murder, if u kill a murderer, what's make u different from the murderer himself?

in a way, he's doing the right thing by freeing the world of criminals and crime. who doesn't love a crime-free world? but, he's murdering poeple, making him a criminal, thus, he should die. so it's a hard decision.
