When I read W-juliet manga, I thought it was popular since the story was interesting. It's about a guy, AMANO MAKOTO, who entered high school dressing up as a girl and a hyperactive woman, MIURA ITO, who looks like a handsome guy. Both of them joined the Drama Club in their school. There was a chapter when Ito acted as Romeo and Makoto as Juliet in the Drama Club for the extra-curricular activities! Sounds weird, doesn't it? Romance, drama, action and comedy... I think that's the genre.
I thought they named it W-JULIET because it was about a WRONG JULIET since makoto was known as a girl and ito looks like a guy. But it was really named as, because there were DOUBLE JULIET in the drama club. They kinda shorten the name though.
I'm still looking for scanlations because I only read Volumes 1-6. I hope I can have the new releases... Please try to find scanlations and read it! You'll really enjoy. _________________ Life's a choice: if you can't have everything, have some at least; if you can't be good, don't be bad; if you can't be totally happy, don't be completely sad. W-Juliet is one of my favorite shoujo manga. The story is so interesting, but I guess they dragged it one a bit. The art work is great too. If you can read Chinese, this site maybe be great for you.

Created by Emura, with 14 complete volumes for your enjoy. The history is about Miura Ito and Amano Makoto. W-Juliet could be seen as a Shoujo comedy with light romance and an emphasis on theatre at times. However, the plot focuses on the problems that Amano Makoto has to go through before becoming an actor, and how he found Miura Ito as his support and love. Ito understands his ambition and so from then forth attempts to help Makoto with hiding his secret and not being caught. Only they find themselves being caught in something else other than this game and hide and tell - a game of attraction and love.
Even though it sounds a bit lovey-dovey it is not, the main characters are everything but dull. Quite an interesting plot with very funny and enticing dialogues. Worth to read it.
They said they're going to scan volumes 7-14 since volumes 1-6 is already done... _________________ Life's a choice: if you can't have everything, have some at least; if you can't be good, don't be bad; if you can't be totally happy, don't be completely sad. ENJOY LIFE! |

I've read W-Juliet to the sixth book, and so far, it's pretty good. My favorite character might be Makoto, though Ito isn't bad either. She might seem a little cliche-ish at some points, but her reations make her very funny. The same goes for many of the other characters. |

| I've read from 1-7. Looking for 8. I thought it was interesting. Usually with gender bender series, most of the authors concentrated on girls dressing up as guys and attending school as such. So I was surprised when I found one where for a change its a guy who is dressing up as a girl. I really like the way the story is going on. I guess you can that I'm routing for Mako to make it through high school without a hitch. But I guess if it went without a hitch, there won't be any story to tell. |

I only read up to book 5, but I really liked this series.
I like how we get to watch Ito become more of a girl, and Makoto more of a guy. I've always liked Makoto when he's normal more than when he's a girl. :3 |

| Yeah. Ito is becoming more of a girl, with her hair and all, and Makoto is acting like a male around Ito a lot more. I think Ito even said that she was turning more feminine, but I don't remember which volume that was in... |

| Its very fun and entertaining to watch Ito become more feminine and Makoto become more masculine. But when it gets tough or sticky, its interesting to see Ito come to Makoto's rescue even if they're dressed as opposite sex. |
