romance and love in anime is one way to enjoy the feelings but in reality its sometimes hard to say....

Anyway, aside from STD's and random fights and name-calling...

I think it's interesting to see the reasons a girl would like anime.

I watch anime, but unlike some guys, I don't just watch it for the girls or the cool combat scenes, e.g. Tenjou Tenge, of course they are a plus ^_^.

For me it's really the story.

I thought Bleach has had an excellent story thus far. I read Ichigo 100%, which despite the more perverted content, actually has an excellent story. I have not read Suzuka yet, but I am enjoying the anime thus far. For me it's the same as with movies. Beautiful girls and big explosions can only do so much for a terrible movie. It's the same with anime/manga. If there is no story, it doesn't matter to me how nicely the women or fights are drawn. I think people who truly enjoy it as another person's genius exist regardless of gender. It's truly interesting to note the different takes people can take on a particular anime.
