16-18 female!? minority group!=== just because we're girls..

i know there are only a handful of other girls here, aged 16-18, judging from the poll results. i think its shameful. im embarassed. why can't other girls/peoplesee the art and beauty that is in anime?! Question

Actually there may be more girls than you think. I think most girls here don't quite participate in the forums nevermind the polls. Actually, I find that there are alot more females nowadays than a year ago.

im a guy! haha i just want to say that maybe some girls find anime and manga a bit offensive and ecchi! sometimes i feel that way too, so i tend to go for mangas that cater to the public not just shonens.

I"m 16 and female.. hmm I like A-S and all but yea I don't think it appeals to a lot of girls

haha not to stereotype but a lot of the themes here are guy oriented.. like Gantz and Ichigo 100% are of the more talked about mangas and both of them are directed at guys...

Just a thought..

yea, some of the manga are mostly only for guys but i still like them. i find some of them really funny like pretty face.

hmmm. yeah. i guess stereotype girls would find some or probably most anime, like gantz etc, made to be for boys. i mean, the first time i've read the chapter1 of manga GANTZ, i was shocked and rushed to click the exit button on my browser. but then again, after a moments i realized i was being ridiculous. after words from my friends and a couple of reviews from websites i came back reading it again. hehehehe. i still think GANTZ is pretty intense for my taste though, but whatver, i still plan on finishing it up.
