16-18 female!? minority group!=== just because we're girls..

well i the chicks i kno are into crap like the OC and shit ;/...and all they watch is the style channel.

and crap...im outta the age group. i duno about now but even when back in highschool(a year ago) the girls are into teen clubs and stuff and are always out on the beach etc. least that applys to all the chicks i used to know. so i dont think girls nowday spend much time indoors, they always got somewhere to go and something to do

take my ex for ex..after school she would go either home or to one of her friend s house then in the evening they would drive around aimlessly and get lost. in the weekend during the day if they get up early enough they would hit the beach..etc and if they get up late they would go to the tanning salon.night time its usually party or clubbing..anyways i speak from experience

i definitely agree with you there, oni.

girls these days spend more time prepping themselves up and everything. they are like uhmm... acting too girly, i guess. whahaahahhaa . im being stupid.

did you know, some of my friends (girls) almost fainted when they saw me reading GANTZ. can't blame them though. they saw me reading the part where this naked girl just got transferred by GANTZ, i think that was in the first volume. wahahahaha the look on their faces was hilarious, too hilarious that i almost dropped off my seat!

hehehehehe, some girls are just too much of a softie...

i dont mind girls spending all their time and doll themself up, i just cant stand drama queens, they re very very annoying..and they eat up all my free minutes on my cell just to yap how shitty day was...cant stand them but im too nice to hang up on them

DRAMA QUEEN=TOO GIRLY A GIRL= would most probably hate anime/manga.

not to generalize though; i know some who acts all that girly but still could tolerate some of the anime, of shoujo genre, like Saiolormoon and wedding peach (wahahahahahaha... i don't know what exactly i'm laughing at...)

they watch/tolerate those anime with baton waving sailor suited high school girls.

tcch... I admit girls can get carried away at times ( I do.. but not look wise - it's really too time consuming!) but.. meh

As for the whole Gantz thing, it just didn't interest me. I got up to like chapter 18 and I'm like why am i reading it again. LoL, no offense to Gantz lovers out there but it felt random and seemed like the author was on crack while he was writing it.

I think we're too busy thinking on stereotypes and the extreme situations as in really girl make up type girl and the video game - hentai-thought oriented -violent type of guys. There's probably girls and guys who fall into both categories but because they're of minority it's not really every thought of..

I don't even know what my point is anymore.. but hmm

there is a kind of preconceived idea of 16-18 females i gues, and young women in general?, but as usual, there are loads of exceptions. maybe also it was merely assumed most of these people werent girls in late teens. anyway at least you guys (girls) have pretty open minds for this stuff, but for some it simply doesnt suit their tastes or whatever. anime is kind of foreign to north american pop culture after all, not incredibly widespread/accepted. i hope you think i actually know what i'm talking about ô_o
