Very interesting... You people are pretty into cars.
I saw the nicest RX-7 today at the corner gas station. It was red, well waxed, and had some nice rims on it. Definately a nice looking car the time I saw it. |

| I personally like the pininfarina birdcage...I know its a kinda strange name for a car but its still really nice...for more of a concept car. As for production cars I would like a mercedes SL600 or a Lotus Elise. |

yeah you could say im into cars.
and yeah the lest gen of the rx7 is the best looking(better then the rx8). althought i dont like the rotary engine(to many seals to mantain and replace). _________________ "ticking away the moments that make up a dull day. you fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way"

Rotary engines have less seals to maintain and replace than piston engines...
The problem with the 3rd gen RX-7 is not caused by the rotary engine itself, but it is because of the turbos. Rotary engines run hotter than regular piston engines, and with the addition of the twin turbos contributed to the high maintanence and unreliable nature of the FD. Of course being 12+ years old doesn't help either. The older RX-7s lasted much longer, in fact, it was reliable as any piston engine. Although the rotary engine itself can be reliable, it is Mazda's quality. Mazda has never been known for long term reliability in any of their cars (piston or rotary) when compared to companies like Honda or Toyota.

i was thinking about the rotor having apex seals that arent reliable. they (at least from what ive heard) have a long term reliability problem. but as you said this might just be because of mazda, _________________ "ticking away the moments that make up a dull day. you fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way"

Hiroshirou> Honda Preludes are pretty nice looking cars but are not good in terms of power.

in terms of affordability, power, easy maintenance, and only 2.2 liter engine (doesnt guzzle gas)
id say its so good. that i even own it. _________________ [img:455:135:812bc51f9a]http://www3.telus.net/Hiroshirou/Forums/sig/1.jpg[/img:812bc51f9a] |

My favorite cars are the Mitsubishi Evolution and Eclipse Series. They have the best designs I've ever seen. _________________
