Sakura from Naruto: Why is she a main character?

she was such a pest when i began with naruto, but now i think she a part of naruto and it wouldn't be fun without her^^

well, if you really want to know, she becomes quite useful later on, literally a second tsunade.. -_-, fighting against akatsuki at their level.. thats quite amazing, naruto i'd say hasnt gotten that much better in 3 years, well thats probably because they havnt focused on him ever since getting back.. but we'll see

There is a lot of main character in this anime.
And Sakura is one of them. I think she is a good main character considering her will to be better and not to be a hindrance for the others. I read the manga, and it comes to a point where her help is really needed as a healer ninja.

yea. i think sakura is an essential character too.

adds a lot of fun into e anime. the whole series would seem so dull without her.

she is annoying right now but she'll be given a bigger, more important role later on in the series. her training with tsunade is proof of that

to tell you the truth, i think she id an important character.
Naruto got the power, sasuke got the shirigans eyes, and Sakura has her knowledge, all she need is to be braver then she'll be all that

i believe that the he noticed sakura had no special skills or abilities, and set out to remedy the problem, which will be seen after the fillers.. all those fillers[/spoiler]

I agree with lightuser,every episode she appear's on (most of the time) is alway's sasuke-kun or cry or some other useless thing,why can't Hinata get spotlight for once Crying or Very sad

I agree with some og the people here, she is a whiny biatch. I think like once in the whole series she has done something that actually affected the plot. Before sasuke went with orochimaru sakura was always whining and trying to protect him and crying about not getting any attention. Now she's just whining to get him back I mean pls ppl she should really get a grip.

i dont think she pulls her weight, at least not in a huge portion of the series. And i do find her whining and crying and bitching and whatever really really really annoying. Shes the character whos prone to shooting off long wistful meaningful looks, which makes me cringe. Plus, shes got a huge forehead.
