Sakura from Naruto: Why is she a main character?

Sakura's been crazy annoying since the beginning of the series but I think with the character development she's starting to get, she's getting better. She doesn't just whine anymore and is actually a pretty good ninja now.

Sakura is kind of boring, though in later episodes she is going to be under the tutelage of one of the legendary 3 so she will become stronger

Well obviously ur not up to date with the manga. She is SUPER STRONG and can do healing jutsus. She really improves from what she was. dont worry youll like what u see.

main character is someone that appear more den other character in a particular series and Sakura appear more den othe girls in naruto so naturally she is the main character

Later on in the mange she gets incredibly powerful and very well in mixing medicine to nulify poison. But ya its a bit late

but power and healing arent too bad

Honestly, I despise Sakura..with all her whinning, crying and complaining. But let me give some parts where she deemed useful.
1) the part where she showed the boys how great she is in controlling her chakra. Boys' ego broken, boys do their best to gain after her.
2) in the forest, during chuunin exam...she actually tried to protect her comrades. she was able to stall them for awhile before Lee arrived.
3) in the final tournament, she was able to ward off that genjutsu and wake up naruto and shikamaru. those 2 were a big help in finding gaara and sasuke.
4) in that specila episode where they wanted to reveal kakashi's face, she invented a nifty excuse so as to not be embarrased infront of their sensei. remember that?
5) she fought well in the 1st movie(that was a pretty cool move).
6) having met naruto and kakashi again, she has proven her strength(by smashing up the ground).
7) she took out the poison from kankuro's body(a difficult task).
Cool

she finally defeated someone(that puppet guy).
9) well...she is the crush of Naruto so i guess that gives her a part in the series. Hehe

Obviously Kishimoto sees the girls as emotional little whiners, who just get in the way in everything (which btw is true). Tho in the manga later on after Tsunade tought her medical jutsus and after the three years she became more stronger and mature.

Those emotions by Sakura are typical and natural for many women/girls, which are: Worry, sorrow, care, love, anger, fear, happiness etc.
Women/girls are more sensitive for these emotions than men/boys are. I myself thought that Sakura is annoiying, but the more I think about it, it seems that she´s just annoiying for simply being a very typical sensitive girl (which I am myself, tho I´m more a combination of Hinata, Tsunade and Temari, but emotionally just as sensitive as Sakura).

I don´t wanna judge her anymore. I think she deserves to be one of the main characters. (I´m sorry for writing such a stupid opinion... I´m just being lame)

The reason why Sakura isn't considdered a main character by most people, is because of her uselessness in the begginning of the series. In reality though, she is one of the main characters under 3 main points.

1. She was part of the origional 3-person team that the other 2 main characters were in.

2. She becomes more helpful as the season goes on.

and

3. She is the inherritor of the fifth hokages incredible powers,while naruto gets jarayas, and sasuke orihmarous.

I agree with burp about her being useless in the beginning but since she started trying to help whe became more important.
