Sakura from Naruto: Why is she a main character?

i think sakura is ok only...although improved i still doubt she can take the S class nin such as Zabusa(not sure the spelling) by her self...most of the time she acts as a back up... Rolling Eyes

I too was really annoyed by Sakuras behavior but in the latter chapter she defenitely changed so I like her now.... Surprised

Plus as almost everyone is saying she has to form the group as one of the students of the sannins.... Very Happy

At first she is the most annoying person ever. I think she was put in because all of the cells have girls and she fills one of the sannins. I think Naruto should go out with another girl. Maybe hinata she likes him.

I think that the two reasons she is a main character is the whole sannin-thing and that there need to be a girl in the group.

well...
before she was thought by Tsunade, she is quite useless, but afterwards, she has become much more useful as a medical ninja and more powerful.
She will become more powerful and important to the plot in the future I think.

... Naruto > Sakura > Sasuke > Power. I think its just there for the connections between the sannin combination, and that was totally off my point O.o. yeah. since each of them is taught by their respective sannin, MAYBE just MAYBE sakura might have a better use then to take up space and look imho ugly, by any standards >.>.

Sakura plays as the love interest of Naruto.

if rou read the manga you will find out that sakura, naruto, and sauske all have connections to 3 legendary ninja. also she plays a supporting role for naruto and sauske. Finally, sauske and sakura play similar roles in the series, so they are equal in importance to the series.

She is a main character so as to balance the male ego going around. notice that all the teams has a female character if you put three males in one team they will always fight about something so a female is put there so as to control the other two... I think.
Sakura is kinda boring though.

Sakura fits in because of the sannin part and how they all have at least one girl in each cell. This is shown in the manga. That entire cell fit with there respective sannin. Just I still find her in the beginning of the manga weak and annoying. But as the manga goes on she gets a lot stronger and super healing skills. In the recent chapters she is just as usual in the background doing nothing.
