Sakura from Naruto: Why is she a main character?

I'm reading the manga, I'm not that far into it, but from where I am Sakura is really weak. Right now she doesn't seem to have a purpose, but she has good chakara.

I've just read chapter 272, and god, Sakura is annoying and should be murdered horribly as soon as humanely possible.

She may have served a lesser purpose before, but by dying, she will satisfy many people around the globe.

Talion, you mentioned she is annoying. Could you qualify exactly how? Even if it's your own opinion, I would like to know what is it about her that you find annoying.

She is so focused on Sasuke that she continually overlooks Naruto untill Sasuke rebukes her in his special way.

She always looked down at Naruto while she was in no position to do such.

Sakura mindlessly fights Ino for Sasuke not even thinking of other possiblities because of her close-minded thinking. Although she does gorw out of it.

The fact that she gained such incredible strength and medical knowledge under Tsunade without really going through anything but what she set in motion, except for 1-2 things depending on how you look at it.
Sasuke leaving Konohagakure, and being beaten by the Sound nins.


Theres more to it, so i'll just be lazy.

1) Understand Sakura is just a girl with a crush. It's like tunnel vision. Sucks for Naruto but that's what Hinata is there for. =)

2) Where have you been the past 100 something episodes? I really haven't seen Sakura look down on Naruto since the beginning of the Chuunin exams.

3) Yes, she mindlessly fought for a boy she liked. But like you said, she grew out of it. Get over it.

4) I'm not too sure about gaining all that strength in three years, but I can believe her advances in her medical jutsu given that she DID learn from Tsunade, OG medical ninja.

I'm not too sure about the point you were trying to make with Sasuke. Oh well, Sasuke is a punk. I could care less what happens to that fool. Oh, and I also miss inner Sakura. SHANNARO! =)

she's a main character because she owns, she is pretty weak in the begginning but gets strong as hell, and plus you need one pupil for very sannin

well she isnt all that useless after later episodes cause shes gonna be a medical ninja .... thats pretty usefull....but during the beignning of the series she was useless...

Sakura is a character much like Naru in love hina. Somebody that brings emotions that others can't and beats up the main character in times of stupidness.

yea shes still pretty much useless but she's getting training from Tsunade cuze she has good Chakra control.....but stull shes pretty damn annoying, thank god Sasuke didnt go all mushy when she tried to stop him from leaving....

Yeah, and they always need some idiot for the hero to save because of their friendship. If the main characters didn't care about her, she'd be dead by now.
