It's impossible to label one game as the best, since there are so many different kinds.

There is no "Best Game Ever" in the sense that it holds that distingushing honor on it's own as a fact that everyone believes. "Best Game Ever" should be turned into "Your All-Time Favorite" for the simple fact that everything is based on an opinion, and there is no universal truth when it comes to videogames.

If there was a best, there would be no reason to advance in anything, the word "best" can only be used temporarily, as it will always be conquered.

Xenosaga Episode I and Episode II. Although Episode II wasn't that great, I'm sure Episode III will be a strong finish to the story.

The greatest game ever was The legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time with Final Fantasy X in close second. Halo 2, Half-life 2, and other Final fantasy games were good too

This is a hard one i have to say its a toss up between Chrono Trigger, Final fantasy 6 or kingdom hearts. have you noticed all these are squaresoft games.

Chrono trigger is awesome because the multiple endings savegame plus and because the art was done by akrai toriyama.

Final fanasty 6 because it had so many characters and you could almost say each one was the main character depending on the view you took.

Kingdom hearts because it combined Disney and square soft. the collusiom was awesome as well.

but i guess if i had to choose one which one would i do. i have to say FF6

I'd have to say Tie Fighter for Windows 98; even now it sticks among the best, is endlessly fun, and was decent rendered graphics/targeting.

Though, there are some modern RPGs and puzzles out there...I'm addicted to Tetris and FF2/FF7/FFT.
