Awful English Dubs

i hate both naruto and one piece when its aired in english....it sucks...

good ones that i like is ghost in the shell movies.

The worst IMHO is Lost Universe. The voices are so shrill and annoying that I watched the last few eps. on mute!

my choice: Galaxy Angel. I couldn't even make it through the first scene before I was running for the remote to change the audio. Out of curiosity I had to hear what Milfuelle and Normad sounded like... and now I regret it. They made the 5 teenage girls sound like older women!! Now why would something like that totally ruin an anime? To quote Edna Krabapple: HA!

I would have to say virtually all dubs are bad in my eyes, except for the Cowboy Bebop series. Cowboy Bebop is what got me into anime in the first place, and I find the Japanese dub is actually inferior. I guess it depends on which one you hear first.

Sadly the only two animes that I have thought were somewhat decent were Cowboy Bebop and another one which escapes me at the moment

Just about anything ADV dubs, you would think they could afford more actors, especially ones that could act.

The anime thats aired on Fox haave all been a major let down. I mean.. if anyone has seen the original One Piece and Shaman king, its freakin amazing!! You would think "how could they go wrong with 2 top class series like that!". But quite frankly they did. Im not a big fan of Reba West who played Minmei In Robotech. Music was a big part of Macross which they utterly killed in Robotech.I think Naruto dubs are ok, but i had higher expectations for a high class anime such as that. Kenshin dubs were ok, cept they kenshin voice to old sounding instead of the softness and youth in teh japanese one. Comparing the two voices is mindblowingly different. Very few anime do a good job dubbing. Out of the few, Id say mostly adult swim shows. Bebhop, Champloo, FMA. And those that arent in Adult swim, would be tenshi, i think they did a good job on that one.

Gungrave wasn't bad. Anyway worse is probably naruto...
