if your in college bt, kazaa, irc and many other file sharing programs will run under 5kbps because well most college in the US has packet shaper which is a program that checks what port you are using and the program that is using it thus most bt programs like bitcomet, azerus, bittorent shadow etc and mirc dont work because they use ports above 8000 bahhhh if u want try to change the port to 80, 8080=internet
21,22 ftp
at home i get 100+ usually on cable from earthlink |

my fastest BT DL at present is around 250kbps for all combined downloads. Some times a individual torrent get around 180 kbps since all peers have the same amount of data and no seeds... _________________

Yeah, my fastest was around 250 also. But usually, I get up to about 40 - 75 kb/s. That's on good seeds though.
On decent/average seeds, I guess about 25 - 40 kb/s. _________________ "It is not fair for me to be the only innocent one." ~Citan, Xenogears. |

I didn't know that using BT could kill my HDD. I used to open 5-7 BT files at once.
For not-really-so-popular anime(or other stuff)
Slow-0-10 Kb/s
Avg-15-25 Kb/s
Fast-30-48 Kb/s
But for more recent files(like Bleach, Shuffle,Suzuka, etc...)
slow-40-80 Kb/s
avg-100-150 Kb/s
fast-150-250 Kb/s
fastest average would be around 250-290 Kb/s
I've never reached the 500 mark and I have Comcast Highspeed Internet 4MB dl rate. I have always been using BitTornado. _________________ The hardest person to forgive is yourself~ |
