So, you would think Death Note looks gay as well?
It focus a lot on character development. If you are not interested in Go/Japanese chess, you would probably find this anime boring since it involves many scenes of playing chess. The story however, is well written and has a good plot. Recommended to watch. _________________ What's yours is mine, what's mine is still mine. |

| I wouldn't say that's all true Lucifer because when I watched HnG, I hated all board games... but afterwards, I was really into Go... |

Okay, okay, let's talk in English people!
kaykay, I have two phrases for you:
"Don't judge a book by its cover"
"Don't assume it makes an ass out of u and me"
Hikaru no Go was an excellent series! The characters were very, very well developed. The story seemed to pile on top of another but the characters made up for it. This has the same effect as Prince of Tennis. After finishing this series, I'm sure you would want to go out and by a GO board and play. I certainly imitate the characters dropping the stone whenever I hold a small rock-like matter. The series is great and has lovely catchy music.

| HnG really is an inspiring anime. It's one of those unique animes like BECK which you see once in a while that are done really well because they have such a unique approach to the plot, and yet its layed out fantastically. If you develop a liking for it enough, HnG really does inspire you to play actual Go. I know I did after finish reading the manga. I stopped however after 2 months because I always lost at the university club against other members (most of them got into Go after being inspired by HnG surprisingly). |

well, i read it instead of wataching it, but still, it was a series i kept putting off getting, but once i started reading it, the storyline captured me, you can see them develop. dunno if i'm suppose to put this as spoiler or not, so i'll do it anyways:
after i read the last chapter, i was thinking "what?? is that the end????! i started bugging my friend to see if he knew how many volumes HnG was to see if i had really finished the series

I thought the ending was done quite fine. You see that Shindou has progressed so far, to be able to only lose by half a moku against korea's #1, thats pretty darn good. Now only if he was able to beat him for making fun of SAI. |

yea, that's true, it just felt kinda abrupt to me, that was the only thing i really don't like, it left me wondering, but that's also a good thing. |
