| I didn't like go or chess, but for some reason the anime was good. Have to agree that the character development as done well as well as the plot |

Lol, you should have seen what my brother did when he watched hikaru no go half way, he started learning to play go, buying the go board and forming a society in campus for go players |

this show, i think that go has nothing to do with it, i think that it can be about chess or baseball or anything, the greatness of the show is the character development.... while i watched it i didn't even notice how much hikaru was growing, it was so steady... also the dram and music, how great is that.... yeah this is my first and favorite anime that i downloaded... |

the anime cut off the actual ending in the manga so i didnt like it very much at the end. i wanted them to go to the big tournament thing.
i play go for a while before and started again while watching. i even converted a few of my friends too. all the strategies stuff they go over in the anime sometimes go over my head. the 'help' classes at the end of each episode where pretty useless too.
i liked the series in general, but i liked the manga better. |

Hikago is an awesome series. I'd never heard of go before it, and I still fell in love with the series. Both the anime and the manga are great. I also felt the ending was a little off, that something more should have been done, but it was still a good ending. All the characters are so awesome. Though they're really different, I still love them -all-. _________________ And that's that. |
