Well, buy a new harddisk? Just like any other hardware. It's rather easy to put into your computer, but if you have no idea how the inside of a pc looks, you better ask someone else
Well, the problem is...i don't wanna lose the stuff i saved in my current hard drive. _________________

Well, right now, it's not working on any computer... I've had this one for over 1 year now, and it's the first time that it's not working... damn!
Ok, go to Control Panel>>Administrative Tools>>Computer Management. Make sure that you plugged your USB drive into the USB slot. Then check under Disk Management and check whether your USB is detected there. If not then, I can safely presume that you have your flash memory fried.

Then you can buy additional HDD with external casing, using USB 2.0 as the connection to connect the HDD to your PC. What you can do is transfer the data into the new HDD and then clear the space in your main HDD. _________________ Innocent Tranquility

Jsy3k, I want to cry now... You are right, although the light turned on, but the computer did not detect anything... so it's fried...
Is it possible to fix it, then?
Unfortunately, no.
When it is fried, means your flash memory inside have touched static and so it malfunctions. The moment you got static, that is it for your thumbdrive. Well, it is OK, CGY. I got that too, but to my old mp3 player. That hurts more _________________ Innocent Tranquility

can someone explain to me how a router works specifically on the IP address. The reason behind this is that i want to play war3 with my frens using a program that links us all up as a virtual lan. But in order to do this, the host has to give out his ip address to the players which then connects to the host. The problem is the host is behind a router and that if i am not mistaken disable the firewall. Which Ip should he give the other players? the one assigned by the router or the router's ip address. Is there anyother way to go around this? _________________
If you want to play via internet, the host has to give the other guys the IP by which you are known in the internet. It can be found somewhere in the router's status interface. But it's definitely not the one starting with 192.168. (this site tells you everything about your IPs)
If the host doesn't want to deactivate the router's firewall, he will also have to configure the router to pass connections on specific ports to his PC. The menu for this is usually called NAT.
If he doesn't know the needed ports, he could also declare his PC as DMZ but then everything gets through, so better be sure to have something else for protection.

Definitely, and make sure it uses USB2.0 _________________ Innocent Tranquility

How can I exactly download a torrent or file via IRC? Please explain it to me step by step on how to make this work....
domo
You can't download torrent-based file and work as BitTorrent for IRC. IRC only allows different users to transfer files directly.
It is quite complicated to explain if you do not have basic knowledge of dos and IRC commands. Maybe you can visit our channel in rizon and asked there, Raiden. I am quite frequent there, usually visits around 4 PM, GMT. I can explain in details how to do that or some of the users there are very helpful if you asked nicely. _________________ Innocent Tranquility
