The Island has quite
-good storyline
-gud acting
-some gr8 tech
-gud SFX
-NOT enough action
-SJ sweet 
-everyting is white
-no island...hmm
RATING : 7.5/10

pretty much the only bad thing u gave was not enough action, that gives it a 7.5? I personally don't want to see it, 2 clone people running around surviving everything? not my favorite kind of movie |

I've watched The Island and I definitely think it deserves a higher rating than 7.5 (in my opinion). What do you mean by not enough action? You mean gun shooting and butt kicking? I think there were plenty of those.
This is a philsophical movie, so if you liked movies like A.I or Vanilla Sky, et cetera, you'll probably like this. I was we entertained by this, there were some funny moments and I agree that the actors were really good. They really did behave like 15-year-olds. It covers issues in Ethics, the question of existance...it just reminded me of Plato's "Allegory of the Cave".
Good movie, it was better than average in my books. |

| watched it at UCR, didn't really like it, it had an interesting story but didn't catch me, the American movies are slipping in my opionion, at least 100% american movies are slipping, well tehn again I don't know anything now do I, although I didn't get a free movie poster of the Island from UCR. |

well first off i have not seen it. but from the previews it seems like a rip off of logans run, and the prisoner(old referance). and with out seeing it the only thing i can fault it on is that it was made by the guy who made pearl harbor, witch was horrible

It looks pretty good, an intriging story line, but seriously it seems like I should wait 4 months and just rent it.

Are you tripping? Well, i can't say how good Japanese movies are because the only movies I watched besides American movies are the Jackie Chan movies and the Bruce Lee movies we get. They don't seem different, so I don't get your point. I guess you weren't expecting too much since you don't watch much American movies. There are plenty of awesome movies out here in America and if you're going to say that all American movies are slipping, then you shouldn't watch any movies. Unless you watch ALL the American movies and understand our culture fully, then opinions like this should be more specific as to why you think so.
I seen the trailers for The Island and I thought it was very interesting and I really want to see it. I seen plenty of downloadable torrents for the movie but I forbid myself from downloading the movie because unlike anime, my entire family will flip out if they find out I can download any movie I want. They'll want me to download everything.
