Do your parents like anime?

ermm.. my mom don't like cartoon.. too childish..

but my father like cartoon but not anime.. what the diff..??? i don't know..

Nyahaha, by the way, my mom not only watch anime, she play videogames too. Smile

Especially plataform games like Rockman, Marios, Sonics and so.

My dad's into anime, he watches whatever with me (doesn't matter what content it is). Mom on the other hand thinks it's a waste of money, but she doesn't stop me from watching it...we just get into arguments if I want to buy it.

My parents liked anime, specially Miyazaki films. My mother doesn't like much action type shows, so Totoro and Whisper of the Heart are her likings.

My mom tends to only walk in at the WRONG moments. Like DearS for example.... it's mostly tame, a couple cleavage shots here and there, some scenes where she has no clothes on, but most episodes are clean... but noooo, my mom has to walk in during the scene where Rin is secuding whats-his-face. She looks at me and says "what the hell are you watching? porn?" It's kinda hard to explain to her what's going on at this point. My answer is usually the same.... "it's no different than like the OC or Desperate Housewives or other live-action shows. It's just animated."

She knows I'm into anime (obviously since I disappear for 4 days to go work at AnimeBoston ever year and the giant wall of anime DVDs tip her off). I'll give her some credit though, she did watch half of Angelic Layer with me when it was on On-Demand.

My dad doesn't know much about my anime addiction, but I did get my grandparents in Florida to watch an episode of Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex. They told me the next day that they didn't understand what was going on, which is understandable since most animes you have to watch from the beginning, but at least they tried.
