Do your parents like anime?

I'm an Anime Dad. My wife is understanding of my hobbies & the extent to which I involve myself in them, but since there are three main ones for me (cars, music, animation/anime) she keeps a tight financial rein on me. I can't honestly blame her..."Groceries? How can I think about buying groceries when I can buy the Black Heaven box set right now?"

My kids (2 daughters, 15 & 8 ) reap the windfall. My oldest is an FMA/InuYasha/GITS freak, & my youngest is all about Sailor Moon, One Piece, & Ranma 1/2. A lot of their Christmas presents this year came from our local comic book/manga/anime store; here's hoping some of mine did!

My Parents don't even know what anime is. All "cartoons" are the same to them, except Simpsons of course

My parents barely know what anime is. Maybe I should watch some hentai in front of my little brothers, that would be an experience that would get all anime banned from my house haha.

my parent?? they will definetely banned it from their mind... if they find out, i would be dead already... they had once threw away all my manga magazines and the manga i draw...they said it just wasting money and i always abandoned my study because of it... but, guest what, i still crazy about it.. i keep it secret from they... ha ha ha....

my mum does occasionally watch some anime, and she already knows that i like ecchi ones. she also knows that i watch ecchi and the like with big bongos and nudity.
at first she was looking at me for always buying dvds, but then she got used to it.
as i said, shes watched a few. i guess she helped me get into it. when i was younger, she would borrow anime from the chinese rental store. and wed watch it. i remember wedding peach and cats return in canto dub.

the last one that she watched was elfen lied.
she didnt find the ecchi disturbing but rather the violence. i showed her the last ep, and because it had chinese subs, and reasonable english ones, i got her to translate all of the last ep for me. Very Happy

but that was the last time she watched anime.

apparently, yes, but only my father. he loves hayao miyazaki's works, as well as any other animated titles, japanese or not, that are released in theatres or for home purposes

No, but the respect my crazyness. My mother likes watching Miyazaki's movies in the theaters Very Happy

But sometimes i'm watching some anime in tv and she listenes to something they say and asks 'what's that?' with a funny face xD

And she got accustomed to listening to japanese music or talking. It's not something strange for anyone in my house Smile

Sadly, no......They think it's childish, so, all the time I hear from the: "When are you gonna grow up?!?!?!". But, hey, I can't help myself. I am a BIG anime/manga fanatic, and no matter what my parents think I enjoy it to the fullest.

they hate me if i buy DVDs of anime, but watching it from tv is alrigth, my father always watch anime with me if it is mystery type like conan and detective school q, i think my mother hates it though, says that it is a waste of electricity
