i think zappa is pretty cool, but CGY is right in saying that he is not nearly as good as Ky or Chipp. I think zappa's strength lies in his unpredicatablity. You dont know what ghost is coming out, so you have to adjust accordingly, especially if they use him in tourneys. I still cant believe I lost to zappa..... but Zappa w/Raou rocks. everyone probably knows this, but have you noticed that S-ko looks like Samara from the Ring and Ringu movies? I hear that is what Daisuke Ishiwatari based it on. It is also similair to Kayako from The Grudge or the Ju-On movies. S=Samara, -ko= Kayako???? hmmm...yeah I am just rambling. _________________ Miku Miku!!

That wouldn't be to surprising, since Guilty Gear has alot of cool nods to various thing, such as the names of rock songs being the names of special for certain characters.
I just like Zappa for his humorous attacks, movement, and... well, pretty much anything he does.

Im bringing this thing back!!! Zappa with Raou, that is a damage monster. especially if he hits with is Raou only tension attack. But Chipp has speed, but no defense. You barely nick him and hes dead. Kliff is the only one with worse defense. Does anyone out there use Slayer? it boggles my mind how you can use him. he cant combo worth beans. care to explain how you use him? _________________ Miku Miku!!

Have a friend that uses him alot and let me tell you Slayer is good if used right. He can work up his tension quite fast and he does a great deal of damage in his attacks. His forward high slash will also hit you if your in the air which makes for trouble it you don't get hig enough when trying to jump over him while in a corner. His dash makes it possible to evade an attack and get close enough to attack or jump cancel the dash and watch the attack go right through without toching you and attack at the same time. He's got the second best defence only Potemkin has a better defence. He can make a combo from just biting you which you can't really jump out of once started or anything for that matter until he's done doing up to 8 of them in Reload in GGX2 he can just do it forever. Also he gains tension from that move and life not alot but he still regains some. Oh and his overdrives if used right can punish you like hell, if you somehow manage to be alittle above and behind Slayer in while both in the air and he uses his overdrive... then you won't get hit by Slayer but by the purple energy behind him and that does a hell of a lot more damage then getting hit by Slayer.
My friend mostly uses short combos up to about 5-8 hits. One of the more simple one that works pretty well since I almost never block low would be his low kick to mapa punch. Also if you just keep on blocking he'll do the bite loop but before it ends he'll hit you with something else and combo you since your stunned for a sec after he bits you. The move where he goes back and forth then hits with one punch forward is also pretty good, if it counter hits you go flying hit the wall and then falls forward then Slayer will air combo you. You should try downloading a few combo movies with him you might just find something intersting.
Oh and Zappa if he has the dog or the ghost from what I understand he can actually hit you none stop forever until you die if you get caught in the corner. So he's one of the more dangerous one if you get caught in the corner. He's pretty well rounded and can dish out alot of damage and so on, so it's not like Zappa is useless. He can go from short distance to long distance. Got meele moves and I think he's one of a few characters that can actually hit high and low at the same time.

Using Jam right now, and I have to say she's quite amazing! I'm so good at using her super combo now! Five hits, then super, or five hits, and the one-hit-ko super!

Uhh ok what is her super combo? Never heard of her having one and Im guessing you mean instant kill on the one hit kill combo since I don't think any non gold character can ko the other in just 5-6 hits. By the way I never understood her green thingie that comes out once in awhile when blocking what good does that do and no I don't mean perfect guard. She has something extra think your supposed to press back and then foward to do it while being attacked or something.

it looks like you play GG alot eisenmeteor. finally, another GG player besides CGY and I. thanks for the slayer tips. i can see how that could be useful. Jam does have some highly damaging combos though. that green thing is like a faultless defense, but you have to press back then forward before the attack hits. but the bonus is that you can counter attack immediately afterwards. the lag time is exactly zero, so you can block and then start your combo or do a tension or whatever. gold jam does this even when blocking normally. its hard to do w/o gold jam, but once you get it down its almost unbeatable. i guess the reason i dont use slayer is because of the lack of combo ability. i never just use small hits. that is why i use dizzy all the time. she can combo from anything for decent damage, even a low kick. judging from your last avatar eisenmeteor, you use potemkin. what is your usual strategy? _________________ Miku Miku!!

Actually I never use Potemkin unless I get him while doing random, had him as an avatar just because I like the pic. I play Ky, Axl and Millia most of the time. Tried Dizzy but she was a bit too much on the slow side and I missjudged her range from time to time as well. Then I don't like her summon that much either takes to long time as my friends stay close and attacks more or less nonstop. Hate the guy sometimes more so when he uses Slayer. So far pretty even between us one of is leading with maybe one match.
Used Jam for awhile but didn't think she was as good as Chipp or Millia. Sure she has a few stuff and all but all in all she takes to much damage and do to little for my taste.

Ky is my second best character. third is a tie between axl, may and justice. i tried to use millia, but her defense sucks so bad, as you said. plus the damage she deals is not that great either. dizzy is not THAT slow. her air dash is second only to justice though. plus she can 2x air dash, which is always good. i use dizzy the most though. so far i can only beat survival mode with her and not ky. with ky i got up to level like 320 or something. how many missions have you done? Have to ask now do you mean survival in XX or Reload? And you actually beat survival mode? That's a first I heard about, made it in a few gold characters but never made it as far as the end of it. Haven't played the game for a long time now for the last 6 months or so should start playing again, haven't really taken the time to learn everything with any of the characters so far to lazy to sit down and learn the timing on all the FRCs. Millias pretty good if you hit them up in the air you can make a semi infinite combo with her all the way down and then hit them back up before they land works like once or twice. Either way she's pretty good at air combos, she has longer reach with her hair then Chipp or Jam that's a plus and she can dish out pretty good damage with the slash move even if it's pretty easy to see it comming. Her green thingie is a pretty good wake up call as well. If you got them up in a corner you could always bang abit on them while they block and before you get out of reach hit throw out the green thing and run back up and hit them again. And she can half sneak up on you, gussing it's more usefull in Isuka where you have to turn around by hand and not automatic.
Mission, didn't play them that much about ten or so on XX didn't touch the missions in Reload.

Instant kill is one of them, which you can use them in a combo, but you have to charge it first. The other one is that Jam lift her arm, and kind of flame shoot out. That one, you can also use it in a combo.
