Johnny takes great patience and skill to learn how to use effectively, but once you get it down he is definitely one of the hardest characters to fight. Its different when you get to a really high skill level like the dude I fight. He is godly with Johnny, but I beat him (with only using my 2nd and 3rd best characters) because his attack patterns get predictable after a while.

Then, definitely not for me. I prefer the easy and effective ones.

yeah, that's true about johnny. Saw some crazy fight videos that amazed me Shocked any ways, better download more videos to steal strat -err i mean learn from. and i don't think there are any easy and effective characters beside sol. i mean look at Daigo, and the whole Sol madness he created. I heard he stopped playing GGXX now. Its time for me to take his spot lol.

Jam actually takes a good amount of skill to use effectively because of lack of long range moves. You have to dodge and get in there to be good. Good job on winning with her because I can do it but barely. I would say it takes a medium amount of skill to use her well. I could but I will do it later.

Easy characters are the simple ones like Sol and Ky

OMG today we used a Multi tap to play Isuka, and we busted out 4 Leopaldons. THat was insane. Plus it was one sided.... but it was pretty fun. My next quest is to beat 3 Leopaldons at level 999. Very Happy

Well, I do use Sol, but then, I prefer speed, as I've mentioned many times before.

Sol does have decent speed. His forwards dash is among the fastest around. I was using Sol alot today. I found him to be fun to use, especially with his Foward+P move. It knocks the living crap out of them and it always makes me laugh.

But he's slower than Jam in general. I would use Chipp, but his defense is way too crap...

That is exactly why I dont use him at all. He dies in like 4 hits when I fight him with Dizzy. Its far to easy. But again if used effectively he can be very good.

Well, he's an assasin, so you'd expect him to be weak, but super fast.

Damn, if he'd have a better Destroy, I'd stick with Chipp...

Yeah I remember when I first started Chipp, I was a person who would use fast characters. To me I was kinda picky when it came to fighting games lol. I would only choose ninjas, cool looking characters or fast characters. Because of that, I wasn't able to find characters who I were good with. I finally decided to stop doing that and find characters who I think I would be good with. That's how I found Sol, Dizzy and Slayer. I still do it sometimes but not as much as before. Now I go to training mood with every character and see if I like them or not. I don't do that for KOF since too many characters and not enough time lol.

I do the same thing, except I learn a lot of characters but only master a few. For me it would Ky and Dizzy of course. Oh how many hours I have spent training, perfecting everything with those two characters. Memories. Crying or Very sad lol

Im not a big fan of Chipp only because low defense characters piss me off. Confused

I have yet to try to beat 3 level 999 Leopaldons, so when I do that (in a few hours) I will definitely tell you how I do. Smile

3 Leopaldons is so easy. Jump dust, dust, bandit revolver with sol or slayer. kick, punch, dust, cape thingy. kick, slash with everyone else. I got bored with the game in like a month.

Damn, today I went to the arcade with CGY, it was catastrophic. Well not really, more like a mess. The buttons were all screwed up so we both couldn't play properly. Well we did play third strike and svc chaos. I beat him in svc with Geese until i lost against his violent ken. Then someone beated him and he got all pissed off and used his ultimate weapon, blood of riot (orochi) iori. So far, no one is able to beat him when he uses that guy. I remember seeing him making two guys waste 20 dollars each just to try to beat him lol.

Really GGXX? I didnt think it was THAT easy. What difficulty do you play on? Mine is always on Maniac unless Im doing Boost mode or using a character I have not mastered yet. Then i lower it to Hard or Normal.

I did beat those Leopaldons fairly easily though. I tried it once in a 4 way free for all and I lost once. But alfter that I won because they really killed themselves.... but once I put it on 3 on 1 I had a little harder time. Not to much harder, but still pretty cool to do. Although with Dizzy I use Punch, Slash, Jump Cancel, Slash, Hard Slash or Dust to hit Leopaldon.

Today I was seriously training with Sol trying to figure out some good combos and strategies. He is better in Isuka than he was in XX. For one he can jump cancel practically everything without GG mode on, which is handy. I improved on an old combo of mine. Now its

Forward+P-->S-->Down+HS-->Jump Cancel-->S-->JC-->S-->Dust-->Bandit Revolver, 10 hits for good damage

I am still working on practical combos for his Riot Stamp, and for a counter hit set up and counter hit combos for Tyrant Rave and Riot Stamp. Plus I am also going to make a good Bandit Bringer combo at one point. I actually really like Sol now. Very Happy

Yeah, while they were trying to fix that machine, they messed up the buttons, and we were like, trying to figure out which one is which throughout the first round... sad...

We shall have our battle at school next next next wednesday CGY lol

TrueAncestor here are some combos with Sol that i know. Not sure if they work in GGXX, but they do in reloaded. I just hope you know what i am talking about.

Combo 1
6HS, 41236[K], 2HS, jump, (desired air combo)

Combo 2
6P,S,2HS, jump, (desired air combo)

Combo 3 (made more small or chip damage)
6K, 2D, 236P

If Gunflames hit and you FRC then
41236[K], 2HS, jump, desired air combo

The numbers are the direction of the d-pad/joy stick. If you don't get it, look at the keyboard numpad
