Something interesting happened while I use Slayer... Somehow I managed to stun the enemy with it, like making those birds flying over his/her head, which I never done it with the other character... Guess Slayer's attack is just too strong, in a way...
What's with all of this negative feedback about Slayer (as in cheapness or broke). He may be powerful but he has a few weak points. If you screw up any of his moves, you would have to wait a long time to recover e.g. 214+P/K --> P/K, 63214HS. Plus you can't really chain and you are limited in combos. The bite loop isn't all that great, you can easily get out if you mash and hopefully hitting the oppenent in the process.
Well some Slayer stradgies. If you are planning to do a bite loop, you should add in a pile bunker after 6 hits (i think) that way you can do some damage and stunning the oppenents. Pile Bunker has a huge stun damage. if you end an air combo with an air dust, try to do footless journey (214K), you may add in a few hits depending on the character. forward hardslash into pile bunker isn't really that good unless you counter hit, but i will just do crossway heels (214P/K --> K) then follow it with an air combo.
Combos (may regret showing if CGY kicks my @$$)
HS, 214P(K with small people) --> K, jump, K, P, 214K
S,S,S,S,236K, RC, HS, 214P ---> P
S,S,S,S,236K, RC, HS, 236K, RC, HS, 214P ---> P
6HS (must be counter hit), 214P --> K, jump K,P,214K
Bite 6( or more) times, 214P --> P = stun, possibly free combo
214P, S,S(this must be counter hit), jump and air combo (too lazy to type)
236236HS, S, (if you are feeling lucky then another S), 214P --> P
Combos I can think of right now, not sure about the last combo since it varies with characters.

I did learn that Potemkins throw range is so insane that its almost no fair. Its crap basically. He can get you from an entire body length away. Nonsense I say.
and the SLOWEST charater in the game so i guess that's not fair either , ohh... do any of you have actually finished the mission mode?I could only finish 8 out of 50 and the rest of the mission is too damn hard (for me).

Satsujin-->TO answer your question, it is true that Potemkin is very slow, but this is easily made up for in cancelling his dashing fist smash thingy. This works as a dash and you can attack with invincibilty in the process. Also, since his defense is so damn high its hard to kill him, so he could easily kill you twice before you get him once. Potemkin is really high on the tier list.
Also I have beaten 45 out of 50 missions. Yes they are hard. A lot of them took me hours to beat nonstop.
I may hate slayer, but slayer is also high on the tier list. He has tons of moves that are just great. True that if you mess up it leaves him WIDE open for whatever, especially if you are fast enough.
EDIT : FYI I have been playing Slash for a while now, and HOLY CRAP I love the changes they made. Well, except to SOl and DIzzy........ they made them sort of crap now, but I can still kick ass with Dizzy so its all good. They diced the crap out of sols attacks. They lost priority and they are MUCH slower than before. Plus his new attack sucks. Dizzys new attack kicks ass though, even though they slowed her down and weakened her greatly.
They best changes for me cam to Testament. They made his mark comboable on the ground which is AWESOME. THey also made his key a projectile, which is fantastic as well. The vials also strengthen his web, and it holds you for like 5 SECONDS NOW OMG that is so cool!!!!!!!!!!!! Ky is a hell of a lot faster and stronger as well, and his aerial manuevers are also great. _________________ Miku Miku!!

I don't really care much for tiers. if you believe in tiers, then you might end up playing with a character you would suck with. And I don't think tiers would affect the game that much, almost everyone is equal (excluding the loops and illegal characters e.g. Justice).
What TrueAncestor said about Potemkin is true. Potemkin really is good. He would be broke if he was the same speed as Chipp. I find his backdash useful, it can dodge close range moves and I think it also has a invibility frame somewhere.
I can never do the missions. I am not good with the characters they give me. I can do all of the Sol, Dizzy, Slayer and Johhny (except the May mission in the 40s). The rest I can somewhat do. I only did about 30 out of the 50 missions.

TO be honest I dont care either. I used Ky and Dizzy even though they were not high on the tier list. WHo cares? As long as I can use them who cares if they are not high up. I only pointed that out because I know a lot of people do care about tiers. Plus I have been learning a lot about them since I hand out with some dudes who follow that stuff. Frankly I dont care but hey, whatever. Dizzy still rules all. _________________ Miku Miku!!

Oh no, everyone is saying that, but they can never get perfect score while facing someone else...
I found Ky's combo kind of too easy, yet so cheap... you leave the opponent (the computer) no where to go, so they just keep taking damage, block or not...
Of course Dizzy rules, but not all. If you know how to use her, she can be effective. You can set traps and make the opponent guard level increase. I remember seeing a video where this person set up a wake-up move or whatever it's called on his opponent and they were forced to block and had the defence gauge full. Also, all of Dizzy's overdrive are useful in some way, depending how you use them. The 632146+HS overdrive is useful when you are in the corner so you can push your opponent away and probably to another corner. It is also quite damaging. The grab overdrive are good for those block a lot. Now the fullbar overdrive may suck but it does has it use. If you hit the opponent then three things can happen. If they didn't block, then they would take full impact and probably lose half life. If they block, then they get chip damage (which is okay) and a full defence gauge (time for damaging combos). And if they faultess defence, they would drain most or all of their tension, and probably get some chip damage and increase in defence gauge.
EDIT: AHHHH, I want to play SLASH!!!!! You must tell me where you played it TrueAncestor, I want to try Order Sol and see how he is like. TELL ME NOW >.<

i have got slash imported like 2 weeks ago. i nerfed some of my favorite charactors including dizzy and jam. Also got rid of the dustloop that sol did but added in another combo called the sidewinder. _________________ [img:250:112:a3991f200c]http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/3880/shufflesig1qq.jpg[/img:a3991f200c]
NYO!
Well, I have a question. What's the best way to fight with Zappa (in GGX #Reload)? Is it best to play agressive and confusing or holdback a little? _________________
The best way to play with Zappa depends on the summon you have. For me I play differently. With the ghost, I stay far and wait for an opportunity to shoot my ghosts. Sometime I would combo into a ghost shoot. With the dog, I do two things. I would jump like a manic in the corner and let my dog do the fighting or I would fight aggressively with the dog and zappa pressuring the opponent. If you get them in a corner, you can do somekind of loop or big combo if you know how to use the dog. For the sword, don't ask, I just do some random crap. And finally and big blue guy, Raou (or something like that). With him, I would go crazy offensive, I would try to waste their tension and increase their guard gauge. If i am lucky, I would do my overdrive when they are open, BIG DAMAGE. That's all I can say for Zappa, since I don't play with him that often.

Whew, been a while. Anyways in GG news I am just training to be even better with my characters. Now I am practicing the following tactics.
With Dizzy - Timing my air dash so that it ends right as I pass my enemy, then doing a HS from behind. Also doing a fast back air dash, then immediately doing a forward air dash then Dust. Counter hit or not its still a launcher.
With Ky - Only practicing FRC set ups and throw set ups. Also trying to perfect that big ass corner combo thats hard to do. Also learned that his Forward+K can be comboed AND comboed off of. Its just VERY VERY strict timing. If you can pull off a Forward+P, HS, Forward+K, S, Sweep, Stun Edge, it does great damage for Ky.
With Testament-->OMG Im having fun with this guy. One tactic out of many that I have learned is that you can FRC his EXE Beast attack easily so that allows for huge combo opportunities. If you do a P, K, Low K, Close S, EXE Beast, FRC this can lead to several options. One is doing a dust attack. That works most of the time. The next is to do that same combo again until you run out of tension. The most effective one I found was FRC EXE Beast twice, then go for a throw. It works on everything. _________________ Miku Miku!!
