So what kind of combos do you hit them with before the instant kill/overdrive?
I play the arcade mode, so I'mnot sure what the keys are called. I only that I use her to rush, small punch twice, median punches twice, then big punch, and super.

Have to ask now do you mean survival in XX or Reload? And you actually beat survival mode? That's a first I heard about, made it in a few gold characters but never made it as far as the end of it. Haven't played the game for a long time now for the last 6 months or so should start playing again, haven't really taken the time to learn everything with any of the characters so far to lazy to sit down and learn the timing on all the FRCs. Millias pretty good if you hit them up in the air you can make a semi infinite combo with her all the way down and then hit them back up before they land works like once or twice. Either way she's pretty good at air combos, she has longer reach with her hair then Chipp or Jam that's a plus and she can dish out pretty good damage with the slash move even if it's pretty easy to see it comming. Her green thingie is a pretty good wake up call as well. If you got them up in a corner you could always bang abit on them while they block and before you get out of reach hit throw out the green thing and run back up and hit them again. And she can half sneak up on you, gussing it's more usefull in Isuka where you have to turn around by hand and not automatic.
Mission, didn't play them that much about ten or so on XX didn't touch the missions in Reload.
yeah i beat survival mode. it literally took me like 7 hours of straight fighting with no breaks to do it. it was DAMN HARD. as you know, you fight all the shadow characters, then all the gold characters, then you fight all the EX gold characters, then for the rest of the mode you fight random EX gold characters until the end. when you get to level 999,you fight Super Gold Sol. if you though gold sol was cheap, you aint seen nothing. he a gun flame that literally kills you in 1 hit (maybe 2), at least with dizzy. he is so fast its cheap (like gold millia), and of course he has is regular gold powers. this was XX by the way. Ah the FRC. that took me like 2 months to get down with most of the characters. its really annoying. around january i started using Jam for a while, regular and EX. i like EX Jam for her sweet combos and air launching and easily comboable Forward Plus HS. plus she is one of the few characters that can combo her dust launcher from regular attacks. that was cool. what is this semi infinite combo with Millia? does it involve her launcing Down plus HS? and the missions in reload were HARDER than XX!!!!!!!!!!! thats too much. i did 44 in XX, and those were hard. i even beat mission 50, the one where you have to beat EX gold sol with 50%health Ky, and you cant use supers or instant death. that was hard.
just for your info CGY, i will try to explain the button layout for you with the terms you used.
Small Punch=Punch, or P
Medium Punch=Slash, or S
Big Punch=Hard Slash, or HS
Kick=Kick, or K
Aerial Launcher=Dust, or D
Taunt=Respect, or R
hope that cleared it up for you a little. _________________ Miku Miku!!

Dude I get the feeling you'd beat the living daylights out of me in GGX2. Even so I'd love to go a few rounds against you right about now, if they ever get the online version of Reload for pc working we should go a few rounds.
Well congratulations your the first ever that I know whos cleared Survival mode in GGXX, got kind of tired of it after two hours straight battles and lost concentration, also hated when I got a draw once and lost because of it. Then I hated Shadow Ky and Shadow Testament as well. Since I was playing Ky and took distance against Testament the first few times I played he keept spamming his overdrives like hell. Throwing out 10 overdrives in a row do keep me running away from him. And there was one thing I liked with Ky actually, when both of us we're at a diffrent corner I'd throw out a stunedge but he'd do a air stunedge at the same time so both of us get hit. Oh yeah mostly play EX Ky love his neddle spike from the old games. Hated the time when both Shadow Ky and I did neddle spike at the same time so we canceled each other out then he RCs it and does it again hitting me... damn bastard. Also hate how in arcade/vs matches your leading with 1-0 in rounds and get a draw then suddenly the score is 1-1 don't see how that's fair.
An other thing I love when playing against Slayer when my friend played as him, I managed to cancel out his overdrive once, pretty fun. Also once when he was lying down after my combo I was dashing towards him to grab him the second he get's up but he started up his overdrive while lying down so it would hit the moment he got up. Managed to grab and throw him and hit him with my own overdrive insteed, dumb luck but still hillarious since I won on that he'd have won if his overdrive hit.
Don't remember the semi infinite combo with Millia but yeah I think the first hit was the low HS think she can do it pretty much whenever as long as you're in the air, a few kicks and slash or punsh don't remember. By the way have you gotten the hang of the Axl Bomber loop? Or the half circle back + slash combo?
Have to ask what combos do you use with Dizzy? Regular or EX? By the way always wondered what's so super with Super gold Sol, is it just increase in stats plus a diffrent gunflame?

lol it would be fun to fight a fellow GG player. but just because I beat survival mode (once mind you, or course i have gotten to level 999 a few times, but i only beat super gold sol once, and there is no way to practice against him..) does not mean that i am going to beat you. although it sounds crazy, fighting people is WAY harder than fighting the computer. People adapt to the situation and mix up their attacks, where as I have fought the compter so much that I have memorized every characters attack patterns. so you still stand a good chance.

well thanks! yeah you have to be in the right frame of mind. a couple times i could not get past level 200 because i could not concentrate enough, but i got farther when i could. it just depends on my mood.

yeah that sounds about right. I HATE TESTAMENT. A LOT. especially gold testament. that bastard... but the best thing to do when fighting him is to never stop attacking. it works. since he almost never stops attacking, pull the same on him. nonstop stunedges, i usually throw out 2-3 stun edges, then an arial stun edge using HS, then stun edge charge attack, then i rush him with a Forward+P->S->HS->Sweep. If he blocks it, i fire a few more stun edges, then back off. if it hits, then i go for either another stun edge or a Vapor Thrust HS version, then if I have the tension, RC to S->HS->Vapor Thrust->RC->HS->Vapor Thrust. Sometimes that combo works, sometimes it doesnt, but its good damage. try that out when using Ky against Testament. That is with regular ky though. If you are using EX ky, you can try the stun edge opener, then rush Forward+P->S->Forward+P->HS->Grand Vapor Thrust (QCB+S). If you dont have any tension, just finish it with that QCB+K thing you can use during Vapor Thrusts. (I forgot the name of the move...) If you have tension, then you can RC the 2nd hit of Grand Vapor Thrust (the hit that knocks the enemy in the air), then follow up with a Jump->S->Jump Cancel->S->Vapor Thrust, or you if you have full tension you can do a Jump S->JC->S->Ride The Lightning. these combos are some of my favorites with Ky. But I am sure you have a better one since you use Ky regularly.

I use both Ky's, but i used to use EX ky all the time. then i started using regular ky.

Its not fair.

Axl Bomber loop? Im not sure what that is... i dont think i have even heard of it. is it similair to Sols dust loop? Tell me! I want to know another loop! Combos with Dizzy.... well alright. But I am going to give you some basic combos, not my best right now. Mostly because this post is so long already. next reply i will do more.
Here is the most powerful Dust combo out on anyone in the game...
Dust Launcher->Homing Jump->HS->JC->HS->Leave Me Alone! (QCB+K)->HS->Land->Jump->S->JC->S->Dust
Its like almost 200 damage, which for a dust attack is amazing. the only other dust combo i know of that is as powerful is one with May that made, but thats for another time.[/quote] _________________ Miku Miku!!

i play in the arcades as well. its just that the console versions have more extras and the arcades done have the EX versions of the characters. technically, there are 2 versions of every character: the normal ones, then you can unlock the EX version. the EX version offer almost completely different play styles for every character. Especially Jam, which is the character you use right? FYI, EX Jam loses her Dragon Fire Kick, her jumping fire kick thing, and her Upward Spiral Kick thing. Her HCB,F+S Tension attack (the one where she beats the crap out of you then that giant phoenix comes out) has less hits, but it knocks the enemy in the air, while Jam stays on the ground. so you can do a quick air combo as a follow up. Plus her regular attacks are very different from regular Jam. Sorry for the rambling, but I was just giving you an example. You should consider picking it up for PS2. _________________ Miku Miku!!

Well, I prefer the arcade mode, since with that, you can play with other guys, but with the Xobox one, it's not that fun that way, and the console is harder to use, and do combos...

I only play the consol version since we don't have any arcades around here in Sweden except for mini versions with pinball and some other games.
TrueAncestor: Yeah but in order to beat the survival mode you need to be skilled with the character you're using it's not like you can make it through if you're a total newbie at the game. So I get the feeling you'd beat me to death before I've thrown a punch. Well we'll find out if the pc online version of reload ever start working. Yoh CGY would you like to join us in a few fights if they get it up and running?
Dude I have to tell you I suck at GGXX quite bad and Im lazy to learn anything new as well. I know a few that I can do but I've never taken the time to learn any of them. There's alot of basic combos with Ky I just don't use since I never taken the time to learn any. And I haven't even got a decent air combo with Ky yet since I just don't like fighting in the air that much. Have one very basic one and bad one. Been meaning to learn more with Ky but never had the time for it.
Oh yeah my friend did a very simple combo with Slayer 6 hits that took 333 in damage if he used RC in it. Could also change that combo by changing the end hit to hit them up in the air and do a little air combo together to make a 356 points of damage this was on Sol by the way.
Oh in case you didn't know you're supposed to be able to use one of Axls counters against Slayer overdrive, the counter that he can turn into an overdrive.
The Axl Bomber loop only workd if you have them in the corner. Haven't gotten the timing in for this one yet, tried for about 5 minites then I got tired of it and gave up. Hit them up in the air or throw them then hit them with a kick->close slash->jump->Axl bomber if done right you'll hit them with the AB and land before they land so you can run up and repeat the kick->close slash->AB. Hated the timing for the jump you have to do the AB more or less the second he takes of the ground.

--NOTE FOR EVERYONE--

Well you could always get an extension to the pc so you don't have to use the keyboard.
After all this talk about GGX2 I've finaly started to play again after not playing it for about 6 months. Now I must start training so that TrueAncestor won't kick the crap out of me all too easy. Yosh now I have a goal at least and a reson to start playing again.
TrueAncestor: Nah I'll come up with some combos on my own, if I take too many tips from you you'll know my playing style before we even face of. Have to learn to mix up my combos a bit more as well, when I played against Peter he totaly owned me. Didn't even have a chance for the first 4 matches then I started to get some of the feel back at least and won 1 match barely. He won with prety much 7´80% of his life left... this just goes to show how much worse I've gotten. Need to get better at it, I did however win over him twice as Dizzy
