Anime-Source's Preview and Review
AniDB info here
I've recently read about this anime from the local anime magazine but I don't seems to know about this as no one seems to mention about it.
I'll translate the article in the magazine into English:
| Quote: |
| According to Animate.tv, The production crew of the coming anime tv series "Aria" will be Junichi Sato (Doremi, Futago Hime) as the Director, Character designer Koga Makoto (Dokuro-Chan), Artwork Desginer Junichiro Nishikawa (Someday's Dreamers, Kaleido Star). |
I really like Dokuro-chan, those who watch the anime should know better. Since one of the few anime such as Someday's Dreamers which release with a really top-notch artwork and animation quality. (Self-proclaimed)
I'm really curious about this new Series "Aria"!
Anyone out there with more information about this series please post it here? Thanks ^^
*mod edit: raw is released, thread renamed to Aria and bumped*

| This aria anime is based off the manga ARIA. ARIA also has a prequel called Aqua, which is scanlated by mangaone. You can also find my aqua banner in the manga section =). It's a slice of life manga. Don't read it if all you want is action, gore, and echi. It's meant to be enjoyed by its pureness and great artwork, so it's a relaxing manga to read. |

I don't know when the ARIA anime will air, but it might be somewhere in fall of this year.
The manga AQUA can be found in the site in my signature.
As for the manga ARIA, it is licensed by ADV. I haven't found any english scanlations of ARIA, so I just bought it because I liked aqua so much. |

Yeah while looking through the new releases for this season this one caught my eye, it looks interesting.
Also since it is based on a manga i might give that a try as well just to check out what the show could be like |

| Aria the Animation supposedly aired on October 5th according to the Time Listing's page. I'm surprised that there are no current fansubbers. The art looks beautiful! |

Everything I expected, a slow light feel with a dreamlike background.
I enjoyed it. |

If you're really desperate to get a taste of the manga, FYE has been selling volume 1 for $5 for awhile now (all ADV manga was on sale). So, if you can find a store that still has it, it's a great deal. I bought it since it was a good deal and was surprised by how much I liked the story. Hopefully the anime continues to be as good. _________________ One of the old fogies of A-S. Sheesh. I'm not even old. |

well then the first episode just rolled off the fansubber's production line
First Impression: Yeah, I got to agree with Loveless' comments. This one has a slow pacing, with not so over the top jokes, nor heavy drama involved. Just a simple, relaxing anime. The OP and ED are very soothing, and it reminded me heavily of Fruits Basket. Artwork is beautiful, and I might be falling in love again (for the *counts fingers*... I dunno... time )
Verdict: A watch for me! It is nice to have these kinds of anime once in a while. _________________ ... |

Woah... I've just finished watching the 1st episode as well... So this is another type of those slow moving anime... Check out the seiyuus for the characters, they're pretty well-known...
Ahh~ Venice, I've always wanted to went to Venice but never given the chance. I really like the settings, AQUA is indeed a very beautiful place...
I'm looking forward for the next episodes, after some crazy anime such as Mai-Otome and Black Cat, I would want to have some dessert and ARIA is just perfect for it... ^^ _________________ [img:800:198:5c85a10b1b]http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1347/feenasighk3.jpg[/img:5c85a10b1b] |

Yeps, I would want that too. Just watched ep 2 subbed by CrystalNova
The "Ara ara" thingy kinda reminds me of an anime, but I just don't know what. Damn my forgetfulness. But anyway, this one is an absolute good choice of an anime, if you want a replacement for Honey and Clover. _________________ ... |

This anime has one of the best background setting i've ever seen.
The water movement was so real and the "Venice" is astounding!!!
I wish I could live in a place like that!!!!!!! _________________ Welcome.......
