Hi,
I wonder if anyone here knows this Anime and/or Manga. Though I've tried the search option, but I didn't get any result with it, so I assume this is a new topic. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong.

Well, it's a story about street racers and battles between racing clubs through out Japan.

Myself, I've only watched the Anime episodes; It's really cool and there's a lot of action/adrenaline.

i think a lot of ppl have heard abt it...the was actually a movie...with like reall ppl....i just watched the first ep. but i wasnt too impressed or anything....

Well, the story of Initial D may be interesting, but I certainly don’t like the graphic and character designs. Well, they aren’t that great, got to say!

i know about this, the manga is cool, but the anime can't compare.the anime has 3d with animation, which is very original, but the the races aren't that good.

Yeah, I heard of it and I've watched some of it. It's interesting, but if the art was a bit better I might like it more lol. The movie...with Jay Chou and everything...That movie was really... Confused

Duno what to say. But it wasn't what I expected it to be.

well...yeah the charcter designs and Cg graphics are not that great. (by the looks of it...it was made around the 80's).

The car controls are interesting to learn but not IRL...as for the drifting....I'll stick to my tactics on Gran Turismo 4...Grip driving. It's as close as you can get to Initial D.

heard about it ...know about it...........not interested! not the type of anime i would watch.........i dunno seems better for a video game than an actual show (anime). so i voted "none of the above."

Personally I'm an ID fan. The music is great (unless you're referring to the english version) and there's lots of adrenaline flowing within each episode that has a race in it. The games r good as well (both PS2 and arcade).

Well, you could really use the technique in ID if your car is superbly tuned, it is not impossible.

And Initial D is more than interesting, it definately ignited my passion of cars Cool

.Intial D had made a certain amount of impact on the 'racing world' (you will know what i mean if u are a racing fan)of video games and such.

Live of a Street racer, how fun can it get.

if your into drifting u'll love the anime, and it all got screwed up when they tried to make a movie of it with real people..it was really stupid

initial D is nice, the street racer is really a geniu!!

but the movie sucks!!!! how can they destroy such a nice anime?!
i can't stand it.

i watched the entire first stage, and enjoyed most of it. character designs are a bit on the poor side, but i found the anime to be interesting. i didnt really mind the cg work.

the movie imo was in every sense odd. extremely funny how they tried to make the characters resemble the characters in the anime (like takumi's dad having his eyes always squinting)
