Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo Info & Reviews

I watched episode 3 quite a while ago but I think this anime is interesting. It's not all that great but still deserves to be watch by people into Mahou Shoujo series. The main thing that hit me is that this anime is a lot different than most mahou shoujo. Although I think all Mahou Shoujo series have something original about it, this one rides a entirely different train.

1st off, the magical girl is a grown woman and not a teenager or little child, who is also married to someone who has an affair on her, so this leads to lots of drama in the future. She doesn't exactly have villians but more along the lines of greedy magical girls who all want her power. Which makes you scratch your head and wonder what's their real purpose besides creating Earth.....

Am I the only one watched this?

Personally, I couldn't get past 5 minutes of this show.

Wow, a little too harsh aren't we. The first 5 minutes.... Come on, a little too early to drop a series don't you think. I've seen you smash a lot of anime and now I know why. If you're going to drop a anime after the 1st 5 minutes or just by the main plot then you'll never find anything you truly like. Not that I'm talking you back into this serie sbut just making a statement about dropping an anime way too early.

No, you didn't sound "too" hostile but I still don't get why you would bash an anime before you can even get an understanding of the story. Seriously, Elfen Lied too many episodes before you can even understand what's going on so that just proves that anime deserves a decent chance before you knock it.

Usually I can sense that an anime isn't really that great. I don't follow anything that isn't good or great. If it's just decent, I rather not follow it, unless it has something I just like about it. And to me, story isn't everything. I usually look at character, concept, and how much I enjoy it.

As with Elfen Lied, I was always interested since the first episode. The blood and gore was kind of disgusting at first, but something about it made me want to watch it more. I ended up liking the series.

It's all just personal preference.

Well if there is over 20 people getting slaughtered within the 1st 5 minutes, it's kinda hard to smash it without wanting to know what's going on.

Anyway, episode 4 was just released. Does anyone know how many episodes this show will have?

Well... i didn't watch this anime... is this good? Well the 1st word caught my attention though... Oku-sama wa Mahou Shoujo. Since I'm waiting for "Okusama wa Joushikousei" almost mistaken with both this series...

Wow, I'm glad to know I wasn't the only one that mastaken the two series(episode 3 is released for it)! Well, I must be honest, if it's pretty art that you're looking for then turn away because the animation isn't in it's best. it seems a bit outdated but later on it REALLY grows on you.

this isn't so ecchi though many may disagree. The cast isn't so huge either and it's evenly mixed with its genders so it's hard to mark this series as harem too. I can't really prefer a sex for this series too because I think it's one of those "ecchi" series that both sexes can enjoy because some humor in the show is refered to females while some action and comedy is for male(come on, I really don't know a girl who can laugh at someone sucking ice cream like that).

I recommend it to those with an open-mind but if you're really tight with what kind of anime you like then I suggest you look the other way.

Looks like you're going to be the only one following this series Firetears.

Okusama wa Mahou Shoujo is definitely not the Mahou Shoujo series I'm looking for. The producers seem to love fanservice, it's ridiculous! I like the character designs, kinda reminds me of Mahoroba ~Heart ful days but less cutesy.

Her transformation sequence is ... eew. She seems to wiggle around and squirm. The cameras love to focus on her chest and butt area which are so light that they jiggle in the 'wind'. This may be about a magical girl, but it's definitely not shoujo material.

Firetears, you didn't like Elfen Lied?

Heck no! I love Elfen Lied. I was just pointing out that some of the greatest anime takes time to gorw into what it is and if you're going to judge it by the 1st 5 minutes then you might just miss out on a great anime. Not that I'm calling this great(for everyone, for me it is) but what if she did the same with a great series.

Yup, I'm following this. I think it's very good.

I watch all kinds of anime and like almost every each of them... Ermm... Ecchi? Mahoraba's artwork? wooo~ I think I'll giv this a try and... plz tell me this series doesn't follow Elfen lied?

Erm... Elfen Lied is a Master Piece and the greatest anime in this century so far... IMHO that is... but I don't think I want to watch another anime similar to Elfen Lied... I'm having nightmares for a week...

No, it isn't based on Elfen Lied at all. But I know how you feel, I atched Elfen Lied quite a while ago and I still imagine heads being ripped off out of nowhere. *Shudders*
