Not quite sure if this belongs here seeing as it's more of a novel .hack//AI buster is a prequel to .hack//SIGN at tokyopop published the first volume not to long ago. Bought it just yesterday so far I have to say it's intresting to read but then again that might just be bucause I like the .hack series. Haven't finished reading it yet but I hope the second volume will be out soon.
Story taken from tokyopops homepage
"Welcome to The World, the most advanced online game ever created. In The World you can be anyone you want to be, act out your adventure fantasies and through teamwork and determination, you can even become a hero!
AI buster, the prequel to .hack//SIGN, is the story of Albireo,a debugger, who used to play 'Fragments,' the beta version of 'The World.'
Albireo encounters Lycoris, whom he assumes is an event NPC (an AI character) but she's actually a failed version of Aura. She is blind, deaf, and mute, because Albireo debugged her and broke up important files. The missing files are hidden as items in the World, and when returned to Lycoris, she gets a function back. When she gains them all, she changes into a teenage form with purple hair who looks like Aura. Because of his acquaintance with Lycoris, Albireo cannot log out of the game and exit the World ... " |

| If you like the .hack series you I think you'd like it. I don't know if you'd like it otherwise. However I found it to be quite intresting |

| Well since I've been a .hack fan for awhile I can agree on that. Still not sure about those who haven't heard of it or don't like it. Hope the next volume comes out soon, think I saw that they were going to give out one more on tokyopops site. |

| just bought the twilight manga as well Lycoris and Alberio is mentioned in some ways in it so there are references to AI buster there as well. Wonder if they'll make more .hack stuff getting abit drawn out now but if it's novels like AI buster I don't think I'll mnd much |
