I don't think we are allowed to play this kind of games now. It is considered to be spamming, coz, we can say all kind of non-sense stuffs.

i believe A-Source once did have a decent role-playing thread.

the games were closed because they were too spammable and degraded the purpose of the forums. but a true RP thread may be allowed. it'll depend on how many members truely wish to participate and agree to not spam for points.

i didn't okay it (don't think i have that power, not being a real forum admin and all), only stated that it may be a possiblity.

a role-playing thread is basically where each poster assumes an identity seperate to their own, at least on the boards, and creates a community within that thread. the participants then interact with each other by posting according to the environment and their personalities created in the thread. think a text-based Sims.

in an rp thread, you create a new life and interact with other's that participate in the same thread. you can setup a fictional society for this thread, you can make relationships with other participants. it is purely for fun and does not (maybe) reflect your true nature, unlike the rest of your posts on this board. the point of an RP thread is to be fictional and have fun living another life within a single thread with other participants.

For everone who posted in this thread after Tue Aug 09, 2005 4:12 pm I have two things to say:
1) Common sense. If there has been no RPG thread since august 2005 when this thread was active and the suggestion was considered there won't be one now. Or maybe it already is....
2) Anime Source does not have any game threads anymore due to the fact that they generate lots of spam. Additionally I don't know if any moderators or admins will be willing to consider taking charge of an RP thread. After all it takes time and effort to maintain such threads properly and we all have lives outside this website.

EDIT: thing number 3) Jsy3k has a surprise for us in regards to this kind of thing.... I guess this post was overly harsh then, but I'll not edit stuff out of it for the sake of record-keeping. So, just expect some news about this.
