Overrated anime

there were are a lot of bad animes that are for younger kids. but for overrated, i'd have to say Yu-Gi-Oh and DragonballZ.

Dragonball Z wasn't that bad, but it seemed like everyone LOVED it. you'd go somewhere and there'd be like 80 ppl talking about it. when i was elementary people would act it out *shudder*. even the dubbed version was super popular.

the Yu-Gi-Oh manga isn't actually that bad, but the dubbed show is horrible. the voices are wrong and the script is corny. But it was idolized, it spawned a card game, ps2 games, it became a cult.

I've been hearing the same series over and over...it's always the shows that are on American television. From all this hate, it seems like these particular shows are underrated not overrated.

Giant Robot Anime. I love mechs as much as anybody but most these series of this genre, (from Giantor on) some boy has to pilot a mobile suit for some unexplain reson only he can. Not only that It has to be some whining kid that complains every single time. There are some exceptions and some series and ovas I like.

well i guess dbz was over rated because it dragged on for so long... when they were fighting, it take like 20 episodes for the oponent to die

also even though i absolutely hate pokemon and digimon i think its not over rated coz older ppl generally dont get into these kind of stuff.. well thats wat i think

naruto seemed to be like dbz and dragged on so much also.

DragonBallZ: Unlike the series before it, DBZ takes "overhyped" to a whole new level. Wiggling eyebrows, characters that are simply too powerful for any strategy, wiggling eyebrows, plots that are all basically the same, wiggling eyebrows, powering up that looks like constipation, wiggling eyebrows, and 50 dialogue episodes of "hispoweristoostrongOMG!!11" before 2 episodes of fighting. And did I mention wiggling eyebrows?

Naruto: It's steering towards a DBZ style --- dialogues, superfastfightingthatblowsuprocksandmountainsandthewholeworld, and a plot that really steers away from the original, interesting story of a ninja-in-training trying to prove himself.

I haven't heard enough about other animes to think they're overrated, so it's just these two.

Though you think Naruto is steering towards the DBZ style, that doesn't make it over rated.

I feel that Yuugiou gets a bad rap due to the poor dub job that it got. After watching the show subbed, it is a lot better. There's definitely storylines that get entirely dropped in the dub, let alone all the poor chop jobs that go for censor edits. I'm looking at you "pointing-fingers-acting-like-guns" editor...

Inuyasha is way overrated.

The main three i think are DBZ, Naruto and Inuyasha mainly for the fact the majority of the fanbase are retarded wackjobs. Dont get me wrong, ive seen ever episode of naruto, but it isnt the greatest thing to ever come out of Japan like some people think. I dispise Inuyasha predominantly for its fans. I once saw a full blown fist fight between two girls (both like 14 and not hot, a very dissapointing catfight) because they each said they were married to Inuyasha. In my mind, once a show gets spastic fanboys/girls it has reached the point of overratedness.

DragonballZ, if you have watched Dragonball the original one, this "Z" version is just .......
but it appears everywhere, like half of the world love it
which is I cannot stand
