Overrated anime

Naruto - Although I like it, it's pretty basic...
Rurouni Kenshin - The Shishio Arc lives up to the hype, but the rest doesn't
Miyazaki's works - Why do people like his movies so much? They're alright, but nothing amazing
Inuyasha - "ZOMG! We lost the jewel shards for the 50th time! Better have about 10 single episode plot episodes about random characters no one cares about!" That and Inuyasha just yells out specials to win

i'd say FY is one too.. (Fushigi Yuugi.. or something like that)
saw it half a decade back... and i was thoroughly annoyed with it
yes.. everybody said it was sweet and romantic, etc...
but goddamn it.. miaka was very .. very.. annoying...
dunno about originality + quality either

naruto, sailor moon, yu gi oh, pokemon, those types of anime that are shown in kids wb. somehow they seems overrated.

well poke'mon and digimon are targted for kids and i wouldn't call digimon over raited because it only appealed to a sertin group of kids. i'm actuly being quite nice about this because i don't think it's worth my breath to rant or shout to a bunch of near sited teens, (but of course i'm only assuming, cause your opinon really is shit) or if not teens just really immiature adults. i'll agree with naruto, FMA, inuasha and gundam wing but i think that this thread in general is quite dumb and a waste of space because the fact of those anime/manga that you claim to be "the best ever" in two to three years your going to be saying "whyed i even bother". for all the narutotards out there the same effect is happining right now and you'll soon realize it when it over(not trying to sound like i'm preachin or any thing[or tryin to be deep], just some advice from and old otaku)

I found that wolf's rain ova, was really overrated. I was expecting something that would tie everything together, but iwas left with a WTF!!??

A lot of the American translated anime's are over-rated mainly because they're hand picked to target kids as a marketing scheme.
