I've seen Doom trailer at winamp AOL streaming, the sfx kinda gr8, The Rock as the leading actor, the premier will be on October.

The ROCK, I mean... "The Great One" is a funny actor and wrestler.

This movie is DOOMed (sorry for the horrible pun...). Come on, the ROCK? I know he made some okay movies, but I so do not imagine him killed demons...well if he does he has to do that eye-brow thing he used to do when he was a wrestler.

the movie looks alright...i mean definetly go in watching it with low expectations.

From what I've heard, The Rock's character is not the main character

since he die early in the movie. Kinda like Steven Seagal in Executive Decision

DOOM finally came out, and much to my surprise, it SUCKED. How they could mess up a great story like DOOM is beyond me... The Rock, as usualy, gives a craptacular performance as Sarge, and surprisingly enough is not really the main character. The dude who played Eomer is LOTR is the main character as Reaper. The only redeeming factor was the 5 minutes of first person view near the end.

Unfortunately, that was about the only cool thing in the movie. Once again, The Rock didn't have to stretch his acting abilities too far for this movie...

However, I do enjoy the fact that he just started going nuts in the end and started killing off innocent people. Good times, good times! =)

The only movie I can think of where the Rock acted decently in was Be Cool. That was it...

As for a short Doom review:

Boring story, sub-par characters, nice first-person shooting scene. That's about it. You can wait for this to come on video...really. Or just go d/l it but don't spend 9 bucks on it. It really isn't worth it...

My friends and I basically watched the movie as a comedy, and not as an action thriller. It was hilarious, especially when the Rock said, "Semper Fi, Mother****er."

i saw it and i was heavily dissapointed since i was looking forward to it coming out. the bit i really hated was when sam injected reaper with chrom 24 and he didn't go mutate in the bad way, i mean how the hell was she supposed to know it wouldn't change him in that way. and the BFG that was overrated the rock fired like 3 shots with it and didn't hit anything other than wall and don't get me started on the crap hand to hand foght scene at the end. the first person view shot was pretty cool though.
