|
If you have any questions about the FanArt contest please post them in this thread.
Can I submit an original piece?
Of course. In fact, we encourage originality and make it a big factor when picking a winner.
Do I get anything for winning the weekly contest?
You don't get any actual prize for winning the weekly contest. You do however get entry into the Fanart of the Year contest, which will hold a very handsome reward.

What exactly falls under "FanArt" category?
Here at Anime-Source, we interpret the term fanart very loosely. It's basically any drawing done by a fan that's about an anime or uses an anime drawing style.
How often is the contest updated?
I update the current entries and announce the winner every Monday evening. I also make updates to the current entries every Saturday afternoon.

| And you enter the anual fanart competition with your winner picture, or do you have to draw a new one? |

| The way to enter the yearly contest is to win the weekly one. Only the weekly winner pieces will be able to participate in the fanart of the year contest. |

| I mailed a picture for the fanart contest over a week ago, but i still dont see it among the current entries, nor the winners gallery. How long does it take for a picture to be entered? Should I mail it again? |

| I sent something in for week 28 but I was told I already submitted something. I did send something in for week 27, but a few hours after I sent it the winner was announced. Is this just a misunderstanding or something? |

| If your work is updated at the same time or after the winner is announced it counts as an entry for the upcoming week not for the week that the winner has been announced. Hope that’s understandable, it's a bit tough to word >< |

| Okay, that makes sense. But does my picture stay in the contest if I don't win? I'd rather submit different ones, anyway... |

You can submit a new picture every week. If your picture doesn't win for the week its submitted, it's still eligible to win for the following weeks.
Example:
You enter a picture called "picA" on week1, it doesn't win.
You enter a picture called "picB" on week2, it doesn't win.
You enter a picture called "picC" on week3, but the winner for this week ends up being "picA".
Hope that clears things up.
Also, I do have your second submission and will hold off updating it until next week due to the fact that "A Beautiful Place" was submitted as this weeks entry. |
