hey i was wondering if this was still going on? i think its a great idea. there are a lot of artists that come here and i'd like to see their own depiction on the characters in the mangas hosted here.
well they do that already here in the fanart forum. but i was interested in the 'fanart of the week' idea. how is it going with this? not enough submissions? too much work?
just wondering =) thanks! |

Oh no.... fanarts of the week sounds a great idea... and a lot are submitting.. I think. Well they could get their fanart of the week from the forums right?

Post them in this forum, or send them to Kaiser (I think he's in charge of this). |
It was announced a long while ago that this contest has ended/wouldn't be continuing since Angelking and the judges had other piorities to do. ^^ The contests were also held so that more artist's would partipate in the forums.

CG images are permitted right? Hehe, I think I could go in. But first, I gotta start practicing drawing with pencil....
I'm a bit experienced with editing with Photoshop, but drawing is kind of a longshot for me. Well, I draw a lot of anime stuff, but it's just some of those scribbles you do when you're bored. I haven't drawn anything worth a scan yet....
Although, everytime I draw something, I try to make it look good. And if it turns out bad, I'll make it look even worse, so that they'll know it's intentional.... heheh.

I'm currently taking GD classes but I plan to make a transition to MAA. I'm currently building my portfolio (which is due at the end of the first quarter Fall 2005).
Reviving the contest would be a nice excuse to share some of what I got, get critique, and improve my skills....
.... and yeah to enjoy what I love doing even more ^^

Yes yes! You should join! And people would acknowledge your prowess... and it'd be good for your resume. Won the fan Art of the Week... or maybe this:
Won Anime-Source Fanart of the Year 2005
