Well basically the "Manga Craze" has been spreading like wild fire. So i wanna know. Has it spread to where u are? o.O. lol im basically bringing this up cause whenever i go to school i see alot of people carrying a manga book, and theres always someone that goes a bit to far like staring at a picture of a girl (im talking drooling, daydreaming staring).
Meh i find it kind of annoying cause people say its just a fad and that im just another person following it. (im not i liked manga way before this happend). So i just wanna know ^__^ just how far has this craze spread? So far its gotten alot of people in my school and alot more. What about u? |

Manga hasn't spread to this area. In order to BUY manga, I have to take the bus. So I don't buy it, and people around my neighbourhood don't either. Well not that I know of.

Actually, I think it should be about the same around the world, I mean, teenagers and kids like manga and anime, but not a lot of the adult. I'm wondering if they, the teenagers turn into adults, will they still love manga and anime?

I noticed that the manga sections at Barnes and Noble and other bookstores have been growing pretty rapidly. The last time I bought some, the lady that rang me up was mentioning that a lot of people buy them nowadays, so I think they've spread here.

I think when you become familiar with something you will notice it more often than you would before.. It’s like buying a certain kind of car. After that you will notice all the other people that have the same type of car that you do. I know manga reading is far from the norm here. It is still left to a smaller group of stereotyped individuals.

There are atleast eight places within 10 mins from my house that i can get manga. At my college I have seen MANY people with manga during the day, mostly girls. I believe the growth is slow down soon though. It was too fast and now there is too much out there. Sadly, rapid growth can only lead to a massive downfall. Remember the WW2. (Forgive that last remark, been playing too much Call Of Duty latly)

It's still very much an underground scene in Germany. You can get most mangas and animes at amazon or maybe even the occasional manga store in a city, but that's it. Our tv programs are sort of responsible for that. All we have here is animes that have tons of merchandise about it (pokemon, digimon, yugioh, beyblade etc.). Most kids don't realize there's more about anime than that and parents think anime is just a new way to sell toys.
