it's pretty obvious what happened, Japan wasn't strong enough to make him stand at the top, so he gave up, like a kid who lost his dream

The bad guy is then shown the right way after getting defeated by Azuma and get's back on the right way, yadda yadda yadda

And most of all, if he 's the same guy he kept the same name for his store. And didn't he tell Azuma that he had to move towards tokyo to make money for living.
Maybe he forget about the bread and worked only for money....

i think he found tat Japan bread cannot be made or his passion die off

I really dont think that it is the same guy. He should meet with him eventually though. Azuma has grown popular with all the publicity and tournaments and stuff that he has been winning.
