Thats an easy one, Ghost in the Shell all the way

i like GITS and SAC better over matrix. both present very good viewing. small similiarities and differences dont reli matter to me, its the show taht reli counts. i guess they kinda both copycat each other, but eitherway, they both prove to be good films.
it reli depends on how u see it. if u like anime, of course ur naturally gonna say that matrix copied GITS, and vice versa if u like matrix or real movies.
theres reli no way to tell which came first, but just watch them, and enjoy them. they dont produce these things o become rich, theyre made for our entertainment so best sit back and enjoy.

the matrix... according to TOK class (theory of knowledge for those who don't take IB)... the matrix actually comes from something written by Plato (i'm not sure though) lotsa years ago or something...

but why debate against which is better the matrix or ghost in the shell?

That poll isn't that fair because ghost in a shell is anime while matrix is a film and if you havn't watched them both you can't really decide fairly. My vote would go to the matrix.

If you asked this the first time I saw the Matrix, it would be the winner. But it's been a few years, and it has lowered, especially with the sequels. When the Matrix first came out, it was easily a 10/10 but now it is a 8/10.

GitS has stayed fairly constant at 9~.

I just realized something... Each Matrix stole from an anime.

Matrix 1 stole from Ghost in the Shell.
Matrix 2 stole from Serial Experiments Lain.
Matrix 3 stole from DBZ.

my vote goes to ghost in the shell, why because it's better i think. the only good matrix was the first one, the second one was just neo flying around and hitting things with a pole, the third was just a fight in zion and a fight that looked like it came out of dragonball Z. ghost in the shell had a better interaction between man and machine.
