c'mon. give sega a break. they're not a huge company like sony or microsoft. even if they released their dreamcast at the same time around the ps2 did, they still wouldn't have a chance. i bet they saw this and gambled. sega had it rough; having to go through some lawsuits, k-mart not paying for their units, advertisements... they're a small company like nintendo and look where nintendo is now and its future.

if only sega had more money... they already had a memory and dvd-rom drive upgrade implemented too. sega should be given a lot of thanx not only for their hard effort and yet failure, but the games that are out on other platforms that uses the same game engine they had for dreamcast wouldn't look as good as they are today if it weren't for dreamcast (namely soul calibur, doa, sonic, phantasy star online, shenmue, crazy taxi, house of the dead, time crisis, lol and a bunch more). where's a good arcade-ic stlye video game like ikaruga or mars matrix? oh man, speaking of that, i miss Einhander from psx T_T.

as for the cd doctor bash, you should have gotten a gd-rom (holds 1.2 gigs) doctor instead. that's like using a cd doctor on a dvd -_-;;

Virtual boy was crap. Dreamcast was good, the problem was it came out at the end of one age of gaming and the start of a new one, so it was better then the age before, but the following age just smashed it. At least thats what I believe, N64 was one of the best, so whoever said it sucked.. is.. weird o.o. Xbox doesn't entirely suck.. I think its main problem is it appeals to the audience whos a casual gamer, not really a hardcore gamer. The majority of their games are off of movies, or comics.. etc. Things that don't last, the games where you play them once and toss them aside, which result in people renting them rather then buying them, or just not playing them at all. but yes, Virtual boy was the worst >.< And to think I NEARLY bought that piece of crap.

dreamcast was an awesome system, i constantly regret not getting one sooner and getting more games before they went away

for old(er) system i agree Virtual Boy was the worst

of the big 3 (ps2, xbox,gc) i'd toss between gc & xbox ... i hate both controllers (minor problem solved by buying a 3rd party one) and for the types of games i usually play neither system has had any major offerings .. although gc will have zelda: twilight princess soon mmmmmmmmmm
