I dunno, a lot of VGCats' recent offerings seem to have been recycling the same gay sex jokes...although the latest one (#169 - 'He's Our Hero') was damn good.
The only one I've got that hasn't been listed above is:
http://www.errantstory.com/
Errant Story: A snazzy little tale, though the two coolest (and supposedly MAIN) characters have been sidelined as of late for a generic rogue guy and an even more generic elf girl. We want the Obnoxious Brat Girl and the Sarcastic Flying Cat (who, seriously, is gold), dammit! |

it's on secret of mana. i believe i need not so anymore.
it's quite far off though, so, have a good time! _________________

http://www.marvel.com/dotcomics/index.htm
if you like marvel stuff.
also heres some other good comics I'd like to recommend:
WATCHMEN
by Alan Moore & Dave Gibbons
Shows how insanely intelligent comics can be. Chilling sh*t and still holds up like a muhfo.
PREACHER
by Garth Ennis & Steve Dillon
Personal favorite because I was raised by catholics. This whole series is a must read, its the easiest 100 issues in one sitting read you can do.
100 BULLETS
by Brian Azzarello & Eduardi Risso
Modern crime noir with a great premise and story. The dialogue is good and the art is cool too.
SIN CITY
by Frank Miller
Dirty art, Dirty story, pick this b*tch up and read it before you go see the movie. This comic is killer.
THE LEAUGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN
by Alan Moore & Kevin O'Neill
Does justice to the legendary literary characters it stole to put this team together. The movie sucked.
BONE
by Jeff Smith
A really well written and drawn comic for everybody.
BIG GUY & RUSTY THE BOY ROBOT
by Frank Miller & Geoff Darrow
Check out my boy Geoff Darrow's crazy art.
KINGDOM COME
by Mark Waid & Alex Ross
The comics are painted by this man Alex Ross. It's insane how talented this guy is.
BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS
by Frank Miller & Klaus Janson
I gotta put this on here cause the story is cool but I'm not a fan of the art.
BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE
by Alan Moore & Brian Bolland
The Joker is a rudeboy. The art by Brian Bolland is Fantabulous. He draws the best joker.
THE PUNISHER: WELCOME BACK FRANK
by Garth Ennis & Steve Dillon
Over the top but a ridiculously entertaining read. The original Punisher miniseries is great too but not on Amazon.
SPIDER-MAN: KRAVEN'S LAST HUNT
by J.M. Dematteis, Mike Zeck, Bob McLeod
One of the greatest and darkest Spider-Man stories ever. I read this story when it first came out as a cross-over storyline spanning all the Spider-man titles at the time. A must-read for every Spidey fan.
SAFE AREA GORAZDE: The War in Eastern Bosnia 1992-1995
by Joe Sacco
A harrowing and personal account of the Bosnian/ Serb conflict told in comic book form by artist/journalist Joe Sacco. A landmark work of New Journalism. Excruciating at points but you won't want to put it down.
MAUS: A SURVIVOR'S TALE
by Art Spiegelman
This is the first serious comic book I read as a child, and it still hold up as a literary masterpiece.
FROM HELL
by Alan Moore & Eddie Campbell
A compelling, exhaustive account of the Whitechapel murders by comic god Alan Moore.
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
by Chris Claremont & John Byrne
An incredible X-Men tale where you get to see a lot of classic heroes get doned by Sentinels.
X-MEN: THE DARK PHOENIX SAGA
by Chris Claremont & John Byrne
Often regarded the best X-Men story ever. I was just born when it came out but I ended up reading the story because I collected Classic X-Men when I was a kid.
SANDMAN
by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth, Michael Dringenberg, Malcolm Jones III
I didn't collect the series to the end but it is a classic comic nonetheless.
DEATH: THE HIGH COST OF LIVING
by Neil Gaiman & Chris Bachalo
I could've put a lot of better comics than this but its a really good read. I love the Death character Gaiman created. The Death TPB is really good too.
MADMAN
by Mike Allred
The funnest comic you will ever read. I love Allred's campy style.
THE LIFE AND DEATH OF FRITZ THE CAT
by Robert Crumb
The funniest comic you will ever read. I picked this up after watching the movie Crumb in grade 9 and loved it. I lent this to a friend and never got it back. YO HIRLEHEY GIMME MY FRITZTHE CAT BACK!
THE INFINITY GAUNTLET
by Jim Starlin, Ron Lim & George Perez
Adam Warlock, Thanos, Silver Surfer, and more cosmic greats battle it out for the fate of the universe. I think you gotta read Thanos Quest to find out how Thanos got all the Infinty Gems.
HARD BOILED
by Frank Miller & Geoff Darrow
Ultraviolent craziness from the same guys who came up with Big Guy and Rusty. This book has some of the most unbelievable artwork I've ever seen. Geoff Darrow is a genius.
300
by Frank Miller & Lynn Varley
Frank Miller and colorist Lynn Varley retell the battle of Thermopylæ where 300 Spartans kicked serious a$$ against hundreds of thousands of Persians. Yo Hollywood, make a movie out of this and make it NC 17. That would be dope.
ASTRO CITY
by Kurt Busiek & Brent E. Anderson, Alex Ross
This is some wholesome s#it compared to all the other dark comics I have in this guide. Reading this comic reminds me of a classic age of comics I never really experienced when I was a kid. Astro City is a magical place yo. If you liked The Incredibles you might want to give this one a try.
STARMAN
by James Robinson & Tony Harris
Jack Knight is one of the best heroes ever because he's so god damn cool. _________________ http://www.ariakon.com/images/RIsElite.jpg |

OK, Alien Loves Predator made me laugh out loud a couple times. It had some good NYC moments too. But I was surprised to see that they seem to just be friends not lovers.
And Bunny had some good bits.
Start with those two in my opinion.
P.S. The Powerpuff Girls comic was really well done. |
