Like it or love it, ads are part of the public domain and infiltrate our personal lives whether it be via the internet, tv or on the billboard at your bus stop.
Do you mind? Do ads work? Have you ever felt compelled to max out your credit card at the nearest department store/boutique?
Are there any particular brands/companies or advertising campaigns which really get to you?
I notice ads almost all the time and some are annoying as hell and blocks off stuff on the site(*clears throat* A-Source!) but some can be really good. Only time I really hate them is when they are all over a site. _________________

then have you seen the ad for the Carlton Draught, with a bunch of guys singing 'its a big ad, very big ad..." singing in the O Fortuna tune, i thought that was hilarious. fav ad so far.

Yeah Sayoku im a New South Welshman . I havent seen that ad but someone else told me about it and how he couldnt stop laughing. Im starting to hate the apple !pod advertising campaigns. They were ok in the beginning but then came Bono....I mean dont get me wrong i like old U2, but if there ever was a case of overexposure...
Most ads dont directly make you buy stuff, they construct or extend a brand image which affects the way people consider their products and who considers them. I used to think i was immune to advertising but now im not so sure.

yay~ im one too, i live 40 minutes away from the city (by train, but the trains arent really relaible these days)

I'm not a big fan of advertisments but hey it's the only way TV and this website can run like it does. What I hate though are commercials that are run that almost seem to purposely annoy you... I guess an annoying commercial is more memorable then a so-so commercial. Really though advertisements is a small price to pay for looking around on websites or watching tv. _________________ Urgo... living in Vancouver now go Calgary Flames!

i love that bloody ad, freaking hilarious, that should be the best ad in the world lolz. alot of ozzie ads are getting pretty funni at the moment like the morning fresh( i think) ad where that bloke gets hit in the hed with a spanner for putting it in the dishwasher lolz, i luv pissing off my azn mates with the wokstar ad.

OMG the wokstar ad, i couldnt figure out what language are they speaking in, and now im pretty sure that was just giverish.

my viet mate sed it was viet, he nows hates that guy who's in the ad now, coz my and all philos do the wokstar in front of him and he gets the shits lolz. i havent seen that mother and daughter ad thingy but i also love that photo ad where they say its photorealistic pics and the daughter is flipping over the the photo, and shows her father flipping over on the road lolz.
