Anyone got any opinions in which I should get? Please give me a gamename and your personal opinion (accepting your friends opinions as well). I have around $190 and let's see how many games which you guys think of and maybe I'll buy most of them.

Please rate the games that you've given your opinions on (1/10). Much is appreciated.

I was thinking of buying that, what do you rate it. I'm kinda starting a collection with anything that has to do with RPG's on PS2... I already got FF7 for PS1 which I charish with my life... (Even though my memory card got jacked and now I'm starting over).

Dark Cloud 2 is the closest thing that will come like Zelda for the ps2, but it does have its own unique twists like how you make the map and solve puzzles. It is the combat which reminds me of a zelda game, but the game is very complex and the levels of combat are sometimes too flat. I'll give it 8/10. The best cellshaded graphics there are.

Tales of Symphosium is a port of the gamecube title, which is one of the few good rpgs of the gc. It also has a unique fighting system not to be missed. Unfortunately, I have only played the tales series on the psone and the snes.

If it weren't for its marketing strategy, I would recommend the dot//hack series, but that could blow your whole budget right there plus the movies that come with the game aren't as moving as some standalone ova's. The gameplay can be repetitive but it is a simulated mmo, but with a great story line. To receive items is great, you trade with npc playing subscribers to the same game you're playing.

There is also chances to wait until the new dot//hack series comes out, called G.U. and the next installment of ff.

xenosaga 1 but not 2
legaia 2 was fun but has ZERO replay value (i enjoyed it so much the first time but got so bored the second time through)
Star Ocean 3 is a great rpg (regardless of the semi-disappointing fayt-other character endings). i'd like to see who would win between kenshin and albel Mad

I would HIGHLY recommend Xenogears if you haven't already played it. It's ps1 but awesome nonetheless. It's right up there with ff7 and chrono trigger. Definitely a 10/10.
