it seriously depends of the person... Normally, i would give them, but not much. Like if they miss a quarter for no matter what, i would give it to them... it's not as if you gave 20$. I would never give away that amount of money to some unknown person... If it's a poor man (or woman) i guess i would give them a bit of money too. If the person looks like s/he trying to mock me or something, then forget it... so yeah, as i said, it really depends on the person.
Edit: and xopa, it's not everyone who can easily earn money. Do you think it's that easy to find a job? Maybe they're unemployed because of the bankruptcy of the company they were working for... So it's kinda hard to find a new one. The time to type a new CV (it's harder for people who doesn't have a computer) to send it to the employer and to wait for the answer, it's long. What are they doing meanwhile? If they were already poor when they were working, it only means they're even poorer now. They're starving meanwhile, and they don't have much money left. Though they still have their 2 arms, 2 legs, and they're not handicaped...

Hmm... I seriously doubt it... although some of you are saying that you might give money to some one in certain circumstances, but I wonder, will you truly do it whole-heartly?

well yeah, i've already done it but as i said, it won't be much. It's not as if I would give 10 or 20 dollars to some random guy... If they miss like a few penny, I would glady give it to them, cuz it wouldn't be fair not to buy something because, in example, it's $1,25 and that you only have $1,10 on you...

But how often is that really true? I mean they say they just short of a few pennies, but, are they speaking the truth? Or simply want to have some money?

there are many jobs in the world.
i believe everyone can find a job if they want to.
just that sometimes they have too high an expectation or their lazy and don't want to do what's available to them.
if there's a will, there's a way.
i think that most people can't get jobs because their lazy and want to take the easier way out.
that is, to make people give it to them. _________________
Well, I've already done it once. I was exiting a bank one time and he came up to me and asked. He seemed poor so I said "what the heck" and gave him $5. The thought of him using that money for alcohol or drugs crossed my mind. But I also thought he would use it for food, shelter or clothing. I gave it to him because I hoped he would've spent it on something better than alcohol or drugs. Would I do it again? I don't know; ask me again next time a stranger asks me for money.
