That is, if they really HAVE the brain to think it over. Yes, some men do things like they are idiots, but, most of the others, if they REALLY do want to impress the ladies, they will carefully choose what they give, and left behind a great impression on the ladies' mind.

i've given out a piece of mentos and made a friend.
i find it hard to believe that anyone that looks mildly attractive (or has a face that doesn't scare people off) will have trouble giving a little snack out and meeting someone new

True, but trying too hard to impress her is a downfall.

Assuming that you do get a good gift for the girl, it doesn't resemble much except you got cash and is willing to spend the bucks to please her. This is good and bad.

Good because she knows you care about her.
Bad because she can turn sour and suck up all your cash.

The thing about a cheezy gift is that you can also put some kind of deeper feeling into it. With a cheezy gift, you can also give a sweet card (written by yourself) or a romantic or sweet line/phrase when you give it to her.
