guys my new job rocks...im only 15 so im limited in employment options, yet i managed to get a job stocking books/helping customers at barnes and noble! What's so good about that? well every once in a while a customer will be in there to buy mangas and ill get to talk to them about it. hehe the boss loves me for it because none of the other employees can relate to "those kinds" of customers.
Also, when we were doig the unit on japan in my global history class, i surprised my teacher by bringing in a few volumes of kenshin (since it takes place i meji). People were actually fairly interested O_O
Anyone else been helped by manga in real life? _________________

that's a bad idea, manga's made for people to get away from reality, using it's material for real-life situations will only lead to you're downfall
besides, even if you're in manaka's situation, you don't have his unhuman-like luck.
manga hasn't really helped me, except as a topic for discussion with my friends (just to waste time, i give them "what if"'s and place them in the situation of a manga/anime character). |

LUCKY! ^_^ im in the same situtaion except minus three girls.... >< also manga has helped me when i was fighting a bunch of ninjas and i used an Akira book to fend them off and i bete dem upside dere heads! and block some kunai knives being hurled at me and using the tatami mat flip tactic 101, which i found lying around. I carry the same akira book in my front pocket of my trench coat, so dont mess with me. |
